Soriano expected to miss 3-5 days with broken finger

It was already mentioned in that thread, however I suppose that's not what the thread is geared for. It also mentions this, and as I said, this would ONLY happen on the cubs:

 

The Cubs have had a variety of injuries this spring. So far, infielder Mark DeRosa was hospitalized with an irregular heartbeat, pitcher Jose Ascanio had a bruised face after getting punched in a robbery attempt, and outfielder Felix Pie missed a couple of days early because of a twisted testicle. Third baseman Aramis Ramirez remains sidelined with a sore right shoulder.

Holy crap! I saw that paragraph at the bottom of the cubs.com article about the weird injuries, but I somehow glazed over the bruised testicle part. How did that happen?! :shock:

Really could have gone my whole life without reading the phrase "twisted testicle" actually.

 

Although that would make a great band name...

Starting a band name with the word Twisted makes me want to include Sister in the name somewhere...

3-5 days for a fractured finger? I heard it on XM, and though my reception was bad, I thought I heard 3-4 weeks...stupid ears! I am much happier with the "days", though that seems fast.

Why is he trying to catch a ball with his non-gloved hand? In practice no less?

He wasn't. He went to make a two hand catch, trapping the ball in his glove with his hand and it hit his finger.
