Why is it considered to be overreaction to be deeply disappointed in yet another thoroughly mediocre team assembled by the Master of Mediocre himself, the awful Jim Hendry?

The Reactionary: He isn't always negative. When things are going just right, he's positively a pussycat. But if anything goes even slightly awry, duck- because the invective will be flying.

Pupunu>Winslow: After yet another lackluster effort by #21, it's become more and more painfully apparent that the Tomlinson era needs to an end. A.J. should be hammering the phones this week looking for a trading partner for the overrated LT, who is nothing more than a slightly bigger Little Train James without the return skills. Maybe we can get a first-day pick, although I personally doubt it after a performance like that.

The hell with it, let's just blow the whole thing up and start over again.

ChargerPower: Am I missing something, or is it only Week Two?

My brother overreacts all the time.

Him: "They're down 8-2!?!?!"

Me: "Yeah, they're gonna lose, what else is new"

Him: "I can't believe it, they're already gonna be 3 games back after this is over"

Me: "It's only been 2 games"

Him: "So what, that doesn't mean anything"

Me: "You're making me stupid"

My brother also thinks Rich Hill is crap, we should've traded Murton for Byrd, Jon Lieber is awesome, and Felix Pie will never ever be good

It's like I said, the only reason the Brewers were able to beat us today is because they're a better team.

No there not. They have alot of talent, no doubt, but there not the better team. They've PLAYED better, but that doesn't make then a better team.

What gets me is how all the "experts" say out pitching staff is the best in the division. I just dont get it. Past Zambrano. our rotation is no better. Past Marmol, our pen is no better. All these NL Central teams are the same. powerful lineup, 1 ace, maybe a decent #2, and its downhill from there. What we need is a sparkplug, a Grady Sizemore, a Jose Reyes, a Jimmy Rollins. Felix Pie could be just that if he just had the patience. C-Patt was the same story. I just hope Felixs doesnt end the same way.

The Cubs have a powerful lineup? Since when? Was there a trade I haven't heard about?

I don't see how anybody can honestly compare these two rosters and state that the Cubs are the better team. The Brewers are better offensively at every position except 3B and Catcher and their rotation is better. Our bulpen may be slightly better but not enough to make up the difference on offense.

Yeah, why hasn't Hendry grabbed one of those guys?

The question is - Why hasn't the completely ineffective Hendry administration developed any guys like that?

Wrong on #1, wrong on #2, he's several years late on #3....

....but on #4, I'm beginning to wonder myself.

Sounds like a co-worker of mine. Do you guys know of a polite way to tell him to STFU and quit sending me "Lilly Sucks" emails and other overreactionary emails?

It has. The problem is,somewhere along the line, they decide that they want to be power hitters.

Then it hasn't.

That's like saying you've baked a pie even if you burned it to a crisp.
