MILWAUKEE- Milwaukee manager Ken Macha believes Major League Baseball disciplinarian Bob Watson should look at the video of Ryan Dempster hitting Ryan Braun's helmet in Saturday's game at Miller Park.

"The league frowns on people throwing at people's heads," Macha told reporters this morning. "I don't know if Bob Watson has looked at it or not. But I don't think that's a good idea, throwing at people's heads."

Braun was squaring away to bunt when Dempster's pitch nicked him in the helmet in fifth inning of Saturday's game. Ryan Theriot was subsequently hit in the eighth inning.

Braun declined to talk to reporters after the game, and told Brewers.com on Sunday he was upset but didn't think Dempster's pitch was intentional.

I'm not sure what's worse

A) Macha doesn't know what really happened, and is complaining about it.

B) When asked about it Braun doesn't go, oh yeah that didn't even hit me.

C) the Tribune doesn't mention/know what really happened.

And in the MLB Networks closing highlight package of their "Quick Pitch" show, they showed it in normal speed (where it looks like it might have hit his helmet) and then Braun at first pointing to his helmet and then cut to him hitting the HR off Dempster and eyeballing him. awesome.

Reminds me of the Berkman deal a few years ago. What a bunch of cry babies.

Isn't Macha's issue that he thinks Demp threw at Braun's head??? The fact that the ball hit the bat doesn't make the intent any less. In Macha's mind, Demp just missed him, but still threw at him.

I found it hilarious that they retaliated by hitting Theriot.

Well, half our team is on the DL right now and Theriot has proven that he's quite the power hitter/game changer. Made sense to me. :)

Was that retaliation though? If I remember correctly, at the time whoever was throwing couldn't find the the strikezone with a GPS system. My memory could be off but I thought I remembered him being kinda wild at that point.

I think we're safe. Watson doesn't even bother watching videos. Otherwise, some umpires would actually be out of jobs right now.

Also on the "not a good idea" list though:

Pumping your fist at the opposing team's dugout every time you hit a homer, untucking your shirt and generally making an ass out of yourself rounding the bases.

Does Braun really expect that the entire league will just ignore that? I mean -- they make sure they plunk Soriano if he watches his home run fly out and smiles too broadly. WTF does Brauny expect?

I don't advocate hitting a player but, I'm very much in favor of making Braun hit some dirt. A-hole wants to go out of his way to show up the opposition he then deserves every bit of getting knocked down.

Right, I don't want to see him hurt but if he thinks he can do that without any consequences, then he's kidding himself, and Brewer fans are kidding themselves too.

It's really as simple as that.

Aubrey Huff's home run off Joba last night was awesome. He was doing the Joba fist pump while running around the bases. It was only like the first inning. I'm really surprised he didn't get plunked. Braun is somewhat of a dick, though, who does stuff like that to spite the other team.

If I had to guess I'd have to think every pitcher would have trouble finding the strikes zone using a GPS system. They just aren't that precise. Mine can't tell if I'm in the cars only lane of the turnpike or the cars and trucks, which at times are 20-30 feet apart.

That was pretty good, just watched the video.

Well that and his cool guy Affliction shirt. He shouldn't be such a baby at "almost" getting hit since he's all down with the MMA crowd.
