Gary Gillette had this to say about Weiss.

Walt Weiss, Shortstop

The 1988 AL Rookie of the Year, Weiss survived as a regular for nine seasons on the strength of his solid (if overrated) glove at shortstop. Even though Weiss played for eight postseason teams, he will be lucky if he receives a vote for the Hall.
