Did I hear Dave Kaplan on WGN Radio say that the Cubs have hired Ivan DeJesus as a coach of some sort? Edited by swordsman

What kind of special assistant is this? Isn't there a limit on coaches that can be in uniform during the games? I thought 1 bench coach, 2 base coaches, 1 hitting coach, 1 pitching coach and 1 bullpen coach was all they were allowed.

That's my guess. DeJesus is taking the role that Jackson held on Baker's staff.
