Notes:
- I believe there are a whole bunch of prospects who could end up filling the relief roles for the Cubs. Therefore, I filled it with blue but didn't put any names.
- Sosa's 2006 option is for $18M, but I'm not showing him there because I don't think the team will even think of exercising it
- Ditto for Alou in 2005
- Prior can (will) opt out of his contact at the end of 2004 for salary arbitration.
- Prior can (will) get a salary kicker of $0.5M per year if he makes the all-star team or wins the Cy Young
- The salary figures are my best estimates for the pre-free agency players
- Although I put Sisco into the rotation in 2006, it could be any one of a number of pitchers - Sisco, Brownlie, Blasko, Ryu, Jones, etc.
- I'm also assuming that Maddux falls short of 400IP across 2004-05 so that his 2006 salary doesn't kick in.
