Gillette on Fernandez.

A pretty good right-handed starter for six years in the 1990s, Fernandez' 17 regular-season wins and his one NLDS win helped propel the 1997 Marlins into their first World Series (which he had the bad luck to miss due to injury). His career was truncated by arm problems, but his eight games pitched in 2000 meant that he qualified for the HOF ballot by appearing in 10 seasons.
