His one major league PA will be getting hit in the head.

I'm sure someone else will pick him up. If he was good enough to get called up, he's got the talent.

anyone know why? He was a good kid! He wasn't blocking anyone

He was doing horribly in AA at age 25, and there was an outfield logjam with Walker and Jackson doing well, and Negron on the 40 man. Plus the Iowa OF is stuffed with 4 people hitting well(Pie, Restovich, Coats, Montanez), and Fuld is tearing up High A.

Until I read the article I didn't realize that Greenberg himself requested the release. That sheds a different light on the matter.

The similarities between Greenberg and the real-life Moonlight (real name Archibald) Graham are spooky. Using Graham's real first name, both Graham and Greenberg have the same initials (A.G.). Both went to the University of North Carolina. Both have one career appearance (although that could still change for Greenberg), and they were 100 years apart (Graham in 1905, Greenberg in 2005). I don't believe in reincarnation (at least in a physical sense), but those who do may wonder. :D

Wow you got yourself a Kennedy-Lincoln type conspiracy theory here.

Better look into the names of the pitchers they each faced, count the letters in their name, jersey number, drive yourself crazy etc.

Yeah, I wasn't even thinking of Lincoln-Kennedy when I wrote this, but it is a similar situation.

Adam signed with the Dodgers.

Greenberg, 25, will report Friday to the Dodgers' Class Double-A club, the Jacksonville (Fla.) Suns. The team currently leads the Southern League's South Division and has won 16 of last 17 games.

"We felt he deserved another opportunity to play,'' Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti told the Tribune, "and that his talent was worth taking a chance on. Jacksonville is a very good club, so he'll be tested pretty quickly."
