yes, thank goodness blanco is here. who knows where we'd be if he wasn't here...seventh place, maybe twelfth place...maybe not even in the AP top 25...it's hard to say.

 

"Henry is doing outstanding," Baker said. "It's just that sometimes you wish that some of the guys would listen to him more, that's all."

 

ah, gotta get in a few more shots against the young guys on your way out.

At least that's what the headline writer calls them. But to be honest, with knowing that Baker is gonna be gone, and seeing what this organization has done to it's pitchers, I find it hard to blame the young guys for maybe not taking a ton of advise from this staff/team.

I've grown weary of Baker. I wish he'd just shut-up. He can't be gone soon enough.

 

I'm sorry but the timing of this just made me laugh - its as if you just now got tired of him.

he must write his articles in the morning while he's sitting on the toilet. at least the amount of thought he puts into them would lead you to think so.

It was Restovich's fault Vance. I don't care if he was in Iowa he should have known better.

Dusty was quoted talking about that issue. But it was entirely in a positive manner, brushing off the significance and excusing the veteran for the "rookie mistake."

"Know-it-all rookies" wasn't what I took from Baker's statements. Sullivan needs to stop twisting words. Dusty says enough stupid crap w/o putting words in his mouth.

 

Not to defend Sullivan too vigorously here, but I doubt he wrote the headline. There's typically someone else that does that, and Sullivan didn't use that term in the article itself.

I will admit though Hank white is a guy I could cheer for, I don't think on a regular basis with that average but the last cpl of weeks he has been fun to watch.

 

Just wish, like the rest of you Dusty would crack and scream " I'll admit it the kid Matt Murton is doing great!!"

Murton should've known blanco would miss the sign. Rookie mistake.

Yeah the best part about that article is that it was placed directly beneath the article that mentions blanco missing the squeeze sign. I didn't see the game but I saw that Hill pitched well giving up 2 runs in seven innings for the n.d. was Blanco talking about him? Because if so I wish all of our rookies were know it alls'
