Re: Fitbit

yeah, i don't think the difference between a gut and a six pack is taking an extra 1,100 steps each day or whatever, but i still like the one i got for free (probably wouldn't buy one). reminds me to keep track of my water, and i like the sleep monitor thing, though i question its accuracy. The cal...

Re: The Music Thread

When you think about Bowie as a creator and performer and then consider what an interesting and likeable person he seems to be; it's really one of a kind. He's many generations standard bearer for (I can think of the word really but will go with) "countercultural icon" while being a commer...

Re: El Chapo arrested, again

Who is going to play Sean Penn in this movie?

And I don't think he is involved in the capture. Seems like he was being used to be some type of PR for El Chapo.

Really bad decision on his part mixing it up with a Mexican drug cartel.

Federal government employees aren't corrupt. It's almost impossible to be corrupt in that world. They are lazy, paranoid and incredibly stressed out. They log their lunch break up to really high levels.

You have Harvard law graduates logging their lunch breaks to the quarter hour.

Not a good comparison. The Reichswerh began rearmament in Germany basically immediately after ww1 and long predates the nazis. By the time the nazis took over they had inherited a growing military force. Obviously they put that on steroids but still rearmement wasn't a nazi concept. Also the other E...

Are we gonna keep Pau for a run? I hope so but as an expiring that's still a premier big he could probably get us something decent.

There is a meatloaf sandwich on the menu at Glenn's Diner on Montrose. It's on Texas toast and I haven't had it but I saw it go by and it looked pretty good.

Re: Star Wars Thread

My problem with Kylo is that in one scene he stops a blaster bolt in midair and holds it there but he can't easily dispatch a random stormtrooper in a lightsaber fight. That's just stupid. if he's going to be a worthy villain in these movies he should be a bit more menacing than he was with Finn pri...

Re: Star Wars Thread

So the villain in the movie sucks and the actor is ineffectual but that's not a valid criticism?
