Re: General Politics Thread

And how common are these facilities? If you have to go too far out of your way, it's not much of a help. And they certainly aren't common enough, or we wouldn't be having this discussion. i don't know how common they are. i guess it depends where you live. If you don't even know how common they are...

Re: General Politics Thread

was it honestly suggested that people use emergency rooms and not pay? i guess i shouldn't be surprised, but still, i am. i'm not suggesting it, but it happens a hell of a lot. yes, and that's a big argument for socialized medicine and affordable, accessible care. i guess i've just never seen it us...

Re: General Politics Thread

There is a huge segment of the population that isn't poor enough for medicare, but doesn't make enough to afford the exorbitant prices big insurance companies charge. These are the people that need to be helped, and it is an absolute joke that they aren't. I don't see why some kind of compromise ca...

I don't think I've seen a computer with a built in HDMI input before. Thanks, i'll try that later. I tried it and when ...

One way to save some money would be for patients on Medicaid to start using their PCP's. These doctors get paid for every medicaid pt. they have, and I would be willing to guess they never see over 70% of them....maybe more. These pts. will come to the ER for non-emergencies instead of going to thei...

For the record, I'm not totally opposed to some form of government run healthcare. I'm just not convinced it won't...
