Re: The Travel Thread

Speaking of Seattle-area, thinking about a family trip in the summer to the islands/Peninsula areas of Washington state. Any recommendations for that? Would be looking to rent a house that can sleep 10 and is in an area with both highly active outdoor activities such as hiking, as well as some more ...

I don't know, I'd be more distracted by them speaking English with a French accent if I'm watching the movie with the understanding they are actually French people speaking French and the only reason it's in English is because I'm an uncultured rube from America who only speaks English. Re: The Politics Thread

Well you can argue attacking Bernie now is a way to future-proof attacks from the right that will try to also portray her as a radical leftist.

Re: The Politics Thread

so, Hilary's going to be the next president. i'm kind of disappointed, but what are the chances she picks Bernie as her running mate? Better than me winning the powerball but still statistically irrelevant? I'm guessing someone not from the northeast. Maybe/probably a minority. Also a relatively fr...

Re: The Movie Thread

everybody from chicago does sound like da bears. going away for a long time and coming back really reinforces that fact. College freshman orientation when I went around in my small group and had to introduce myself is when I learned this. "Hi I'm Zach, from Chicago" *cue laughter* I guess...

Just don't let him control your personnel. I guess he likely goes forward with Kaepernick rather than draft someone high?

I guess not quite, but I think SF, Minn, and NY all did/will.

Re: The Rams don't like St Louis

On a related note, I'm really confused by Spanos. He is currently one of the most hated people in San Diego at the moment. Him and his lawyer. But it's because he won't sit down for discussions on keeping the team in San Diego. And with the way this vote went down, he got royally screwed on moving ...

Might as well have a non-Bears thread.

Re: The Rams don't like St Louis

One of the owners to vote against this was Mike Brown... Brown has a well-documented reputation for refusing to go along with anything that helps the league become bigger and better. His primary concern in those situations is the impact of the new revenue on the salary cap. So Brown prefers the sta...

They should go chase a soccer team though. St Louis is a big soccer market and they could definitely support that.

Re: The Rams don't like St Louis

All the Rams fans saying the fix has been on for 20 years. Of course it couldn't be because they're awful fans. I was middle school age when the Rams were winning and going to Super Bowls and making deep playoff runs. I grew up in the St Louis area and then went to college at Mizzou. With all those...

Re: The Rams don't like St Louis

St. Louis is better off for it.. How is St Louis better off for an NFL team leaving the city? Rams staying in the Jones Dome would be good, but not building another stadium with public money. They'll survive the 8 games a year they lose, and can market the Jones Dome for other events. And if they s...

Sounds like Groh may indeed move from WR into the QB coach roll. The line if succession is being put in place (if Loggains proves worthy).

Other positive- Loggains has a lot of Shannahan West Coast exposure, an offense many wanted to run this time last off season.

For those who are fine/OK with this, would you have been OK with it if we hired Dowell Loggains and he wasn't already a member of our staff? Or if we hired him last year? I'm just trying to figure out how much of it for you is the continuity factor. Certainly continuity plays a part, and it is mean...

Re: 2016 Chicago Bears Offseason Thread

My biggest issue with him is that he looks like he could replace Kevin James in a Paul Blart 3: Mall Cop movie. Also the cumulative effect sucks. Loggains may be a good OC, but now we have a hole at QB coach. The good thing is Groh actually was a QB and has OC and QB coach experience, so they can ac...

I recently bumped up to galaxy s6 from iPhone 4s. Picking up the old iPhone feels comical now but at the same time the + doesn't appeal to me. I can.still handle this as a one hand phone and I can't see that at all with anything bigger.

Rumor is that TB was so afraid of losing their OC to another team that they sacrificed Lovie Should be pretty amusing if he still leaves. He's be dumb to go elsewhere. No one else can offer up a Jameis Winston talent. Wait, what? Is there a coaching vacancy with a more talented QB or ability to dra...
