Re: Star Wars Thread

Watching that made me wonder if at some point in the future someone is going to go back and fix the crappy CGI in the prequels. CGI isn't so much a problem with modern film, it's bad CGI that is the problem. Of course, no amount of CGI improvement could fix the crappy story and bad acting of the pr...

Sad. He was great as Severus Snape, but I'll always remember him first as one of the only bright spots in that awful Robin Hood movie.

He's Hans Gruber, first and foremost for me.

Re: 2016 Hall of Fame

I think I've said this before, but if it were up to me I would reorganize the HOF into era's of roughly 15 years and guys would go into that wing of the HOF. For a guy whose career maybe spanned two eras, he would go in the era in which he peaked. The HOF is a museum for the history of the game and...

Re: The Rams don't like St Louis

My brother lives in LA. He used to complain that when LA had 2 teams he never got the 2nd game of the double header because either the Rams or the Raiders were home and neither consistently sold out. That was before satellites but it sort of speaks to why LA went from 2 to 0 teams, and why it took s...

Re: 2015-16 Blackhawks season

yeah what a shock, this team is really good again When you have 2 of the top 5 players on Earth and evaluate talent well, it's going to be hard to be anything less. I've only seen them a couple times this year, but I think they are more explosive than they may have ever been. At times, yes, but the...

Re: Ricketts discusses extension for Theo, how much is he worth in your opinion?

I think Theo's ego is big enough that he will want to be in the same ranges as the highest paid executives in sports. He can go anywhere. Edit: if I were him I'd ask for an ownership stake. Theo's ego is big enough that he won't want to leave a team primed for a long run of success. As for ownershi...

Ahh good stuff. Guess I shouldn't be too happy for the cute little Royals anymore after 2 pennants and a title, but its good to see them able to re-sign their key free agents and keep their team going strong. Is Gordon really that key to them? He seems more like a nice guy to have around to a disin...

I go twice a year like I'm supposed to, but I know I have receding gums and am dreading any kind of skin graft surgery. That sounds awful I had a similar problem and started going 4 times a year for about 3 years. It worked and my gums are fine though I still go 3 times a year to make sure that the...

you just love to see a team trading away their franchise player to appease a coach who'll wear out his welcome within a couple seasons Johansen is lazy. He played below his potential for a few years, had a great season last year, got paid, and then showed up out of shape again. He's been terrible. ...
