Re: P90X

I wish I could do Insanity. It's just not doable with someone living below me, though. And I'd probably need a bit more space.

Re: The General TV Thread

Win/win for everyone there. Sheen gets his money/attention and CBS gets the ratings.

The only loser is good television.

Re: Tickets successes and failures thread.

Up to $85 after fees. You have to figure many still bought for resale without realizing how bad the secondary market would be right now, so another season like last year and sales will be significantly worse.

Re: Tickets successes and failures thread.

I got 10 bleacher ticket for May 14th against San Fran. I am not real familiar with the area, but we have a free room for the Best Western. Is the one in Evanston too far away, or does anybody have an idea how much a cab ride is to the stadium? It's 2-3 blocks from the Dempster St. el stop, which i...

Re: Winter Weather

Yeah. Apparently there was no injection of humidity into the air, no lift to the storm, and it tracked further south than expected. The dusting we got here was completely gone by the time I took lunch.

Re: Tickets successes and failures thread.

Wow. I just checked a few games to see what was sold out strictly out of curiosity and you can still get unobstructed seats and bleacher seats for Opening Day. No VWR, either. I think that says a lot.

Re: Tickets successes and failures thread.

The last few years I've only sat in the 500 level infield. Of course, I didn't go to any games last year, but that is where I would have been if I did.

Me too. The upper deck (especially Upper Deck Box) is highly underrated.

It used to be a good value. Now, if anything, it's probably overpriced.

Nah. Could get to 9 inches south of the city, but we're probably looking at around 4" here. Half from the storm, half lake-enhanced.

Re: Tickets successes and failures thread.

Not getting any tomorrow for the first time in a long, long time. Too pricey to make it worth it to buy in advance. If they're not doing well and I don't have a desire to go, or something else comes up, I'm not going to be getting my money back. If I have the desire to go to a game, I'll just wait u...

Re: P90X

Does anyone know if there's a b line resistance band heavier than the black B10? Mine's starting to show signs of breaking in the near future, but it might be nice to have something heavier for pullups so I don't have to go as far back.

Re: P90X

I started with handle pushup bars because of the pain in my wrists. After a little while, I stopped using them because the pain came back. I switched to the floor and ever since then, no more wrist pain while doing pushups.

Lou Holtz chimes in: “My attitude was if that athlete wasn’t good enough, and he was doing everything we asked him to do –- in the classroom, the weight room and the football field -- and he was not good enough to play, then that was our mistake. “Now, if he’s a dog –- he won’t go class, won’t get ...

I was talking about being kicked off your scholarship, not kicked out of school. The GPA requirements to remain on academic scholarship are a lot higher than the requirements to remain in school right? Are these guys being taken off football scholarship removed from the campus entirely? Or are they...

Re: 2011 College Football Offseason

And we all know grades and GPAs are calculated in a consistent, uniform fashion for all students. Honestly, with how much B.S. and cheating goes on in a college class room I'm not exactly going to say GPAs is a fairer way of measuring academic performance than a coach's evaluation is in measuring a...
