The living embodiment of Randy Quaid in Major League II. You won't ever enjoy the Cubs winning the World Series because you'll just know they're going to blow it.

The thing that pisses me off about the Cardinals playing so well are the whiney bitches complaining about Cubs fans rooting for the Giants. Do they not realize that it is common practice in sports to root against the rival of your team? STFU, BFIB.

*I'm going full-troll tonight. Someone is complaining about how stupid Hunter Pence looks with his jersey untucked, so I mentioned that the only thing more stupis a neck tattoo. Molina makes the ladies undergarments moist for some reason, so that should get the pot stirring.

The St. Louis Cardinals

I could and perhaps should start a separate rant about how much St. Louis is a provincial, insular, tone-deaf piece of [expletive] place to live. But this is related to the Cardinals so I'll throw it here.

Our NBC affiliate preempted the Breeders Cup tonight to air a one-hour retrospective on the 2012 Cardinals. From the few seconds I watched it was poorly made and ignorant homerism. One of the idiots on the show suggested Molina should be in the MVP discussion, for one.

They could have showed this thing at 1:00 am on a Wednesday and nobody would have cared. Instead they preempt an event that is, while not huge, a relatively big deal.

[expletive] KSDK, and [expletive] St. Louis. That is all.
Just an average guy with exceptional hair. No more, no less.

Why shouldn't a Gold Glove catcher who hit .315 .373 .501 .874 for a playoff team be in the MVP discussion?

Fangraphs has him with a 6.5 WAR and BR has him at 6.7. He had a hell of a year.

The worst. I still don't think they can find a more annoying way to win than they did in the World Series against the Rangers or the next year against the Nationals but they are certainly trying. They can't just win a bunch of 6-3 games. They have to come so close to losing you actually start to believe it's possible and then pull a historically improbable comeback to win. At least this series the worst they can do is beat the Dodgers who is only a slightly better option to root for than St. Louis.

They are truly the Dark Side.
Our hatred only makes them stronger.

I don't hate them. The Cardinals losing doesn't get us any closer to a World Series.

Sure does in the regular season.
