Sounds like maybe he did.

Side note- It's amazing to me how LITTLE porn stars make. Some of the bigger names in the business make less than $2000 a movie. (they're lucky to get 50 movies a year). Porn studios make ungodly amounts of cash and the stars make nothing.

Uhhhhhh...not that I'm an expert or anything, but I'm pretty sure I can pick a porno chick at random and easily find that they've done at least 50 scenes a year.

I've always heard 50 a year is the goal for most of the girls.

I've got a guy that advertises for me and he's set up quite a few girls with webcam businesses. They make more off that than thru the studios. Plenty of them do well as party hosts(think Vikings love boat) or as (shocker) escorts.

Nah, the main thing I do for them is lowering their credit card processing rates. It's just a business that came about from me having to deal with escalating processing rates on my own sites. I do target them though, because they make serious money.

True. By the way, this weekend is the big porn convention in Vegas. Wicked has come up with life size dolls of some of the main actresses, and are trying to sell them for around six grand apiece or so.

It's exactly what you'd think of. The girls stay creeped out and hate them. I stayed off the floor and just took meetings, for the most part, when I went.

My wife, who hates the industry, felt sorry for the girls.

so feel free to skip this story because nothing will ever top davell's big anal work adventure, but this happened to me Tuesday night. It's a good example of just how funny the newspaper business can be

I got back to my desk from an unrelated call (an idiot driver had driven into a manmade lake outside a Bass Pro Shop) about 7:30, and heard someone on the scanner say “a suspect in the shooting/homicide is expected to drop off an 11-year-old witness at GID (the police department in the most high-crime section of our city) tonight,” and route officers there.

No one at work had heard anything about it, and nothing was floating around the Twittersphere, so I called dispatch to check. They said there were no shootings on their screen.

Thinking that it must be a shooting from a different county, I grabbed a scanner and jumped in my car and drove off to that police department, thinking there would be a lot of officers there waiting for this guy to show up.

When I pulled up, there was no one there. No officers wandering around, nothing. So now I’m really confused.

I pull up to the building and call dispatch again. They still say they don’t see a shooting anywhere. Frustrated and about to leave, I notice a very bright light. Then another. Then a couple more. Then I hear a really serious order to stick both my hands out the window.

Ohhhhhh yeahhhhhh, they think a murder suspect is going to pull up to the police department. They think that’s me.

(Luckily I didn’t get shot and killed)

Damn, thats pretty weird. And I now shall tell the story of Michael Shornock. A bank robbing crininal that imb's story reminded me of.

I grew up in Western North Carolina, in a tiny, tiny place with no stop lights and the only traffic jams were when Mr. Dalton had his cows crossing the road. Anyway, not a lot going on, to say the least.

So, it WAS news, when some dude named Michael Shornock robbed a bank, shot an officer, and fled Florida, and was supposedly running around in our area.

My grandfather always had a police scanner on(for no reason at all). I was around 10 and was playing basketball with my neighbor. My grandfather came outside and said we needed to come in and listen, this guy may be close.

The scanner was hard to hear at times, due to static, but it was going crazy, with tons of people yelling.

A minute or two later, my grandfather goes"Hey, there he goes" rather nonchalantly, right through our yard, holding a gun, with police chasing him. We heard the gunfire, they killed him just out of our sight. Then, my friends Rottweiler attacked him, even though he was dead and the cops took forever, getting him away from the body.

One of my favorite parts of Christmas has always been waiting to see my mom's big present, the one my dad got her every year that always cost him hundreds of dollars and always kept a secret from us. They were always awesome gifts. Roughly 10 years ago, that big gift was a police scanner. It was never taken out of the box.

So nothing like going to use the restroom at work this morning to find that someone had puked all over the floor the night before and no one had cleaned it up
