And The Best All-Star Voter EVAR is... VANCE!

Postby ctcf » Fri Jul 08, 2005 2:15 am

Well, since my plea to buy vance a shirt actually worked, Serena has asked me to announce once again that Vance is indeed, the man and probably set the world record for All-Star game voting in any sport ever. Thanks to a bunch of nice people we managed to pull together as a community to get vance an awesome (I like orange so ha to the rest of you!) Lee all-star T-Shirt.

Bravo Vance!

Just an update:

The shirt has been ordered. But -- no doubt due partially to Vance's tremendous efforts in raising the general awareness of DLEE's incredibleness -- they couldn't churn out enough tshirts to meet the overwhelming demand, so it's on back order.

(I think they need to manufacture more orange dye  )

It's supposed to ship in 2-4 weeks. Post here when you get it, Vance! :)

A special thanks to the NSBB members who helped make this happen:

I've decided to wear white shorts (and a colored thong just for Roast) with it and try to get work as a traffic cone.

Thanks everyone!

I appreciate it.

This was really so unexpected....but I can't begin to thank-you all.

And Gracie, you only chipped it b/c you were glad I was able to overcome your helping your son vote for Pujols. (Yes, I still lurk at BOTB every now and then...lol.)

WHY OH WHY did they have to choose orange as the AS jersey color THIS year??? I *hate* orange. :x

Props to Vance. Stuffing ballot boxes is an established Chicago tradition. :D

And in Louisiana too. Considering I'm related to former governor Huey p. Long, I know all about political machinery.

Nah....I chipped in because I voted about 500 times and I know how much time that took, and I think you voted at least twice that. You rocked, Vance. :)

BTW, after Paul voted for Pujols once, I went back and voted another 25 times for DLee to invalidate Paul's vote. I'm a good mom but not a saint by any means LOL.

It's ok...we may have more players to work on next year too.

Hopefully we can get Ramirez voted the starter for next year too.

I just wanted to announce that I'm going to start stuffing the ballot boxes earlier this season.

Usually around the end of April or 1st of May. I need people to pledge 100 votes a day for the duration and this one will be easy this year.

This is the very model of successful politics in Chicago.........

Vote early, and vote often !!!
