I believe I've moved up 3 spots, supposedly due to people dying.

I'm 28,444. I'm pretty sure I have somehow moved backwards on the list.

Ha ha...I'm only 2317 on the list!

I've moved about 100 spots since I first signed up.

you are a lot closer then most....

I'm between 12k and 15k and I signed up quite a while ago. Wasn't too long ago in 2004 when you could still get them before the waitlist

I really don't want to get up there until I retire. If my number comes up before then, I'm going to have to find people to split them with. If all goes according to plan, in about 20 years when I retire, I'll get to have season tickets and spend my golden year summers with the Cubs.

At the rate tickets prices are going, you'll need your whole retirement acct. to afford them!

6865. Can't wait to get them!

28744. I'm 99% certain that I haven't moved since I signed up on 1/7/07. I hope my great great great great grandkids enjoy them.

I started at 28408 in January of 2007, I'm now at 28343...so about 60 spots in 2 years...at this rate I'll never get them...I think the only legit chance is if there is some sort of major stadium reconstruction.

I haven't bothered to sign up, and from what I'm hearing it's probably not worth my time.

On 1/4/07 I was 7048. Today I'm 6983, moving up all of 65 places in that time. If I remember right, I got on the list somewhere in '05 or '06. I'm on the "when I retire" plan too, but anytime before then would be ideal.

Questions on season tickets, as I don't know how it works:
About how many of the 39K-ish seats are season ticket holders? And does anyone know a rough guess as to where the sections line up for season tickets? I always found it strange when I could get a single game ticket through the regular ticket methods and be 10-15 rows back from the dugout but then hear about season ticket holders being up in the balcony. Is there any rhyme or reason to where season tickets are located?

Possible solution: eBay?

I need everyone in the entire park to die, including vendors and all Cubs employees, before I'd get a chance to buy season seats.

Yeah, that free shipping almost has me tempted! But seriously if I had that extra cash I would totally buy one of those packages off Ebay.

The only way I would is if it came with a guarantee for playoff and WS tickets. Otherwise, I really have no reason to go to 81 games.

The WS and playoff ticket option would be ideal. I would love to have tickets to all the game then I could pick or choose and then give the others to my friends or charity raffle type things.

For those of you who have cash to spare, check the ebay link above...

$17,990 will get you 2 season tickets in section 105 row 12, along with the playoff and WS rights.

I have no idea why you would be concerned with the rights though, you might see two games and then be done. :banghead:

But, if the Cubs did make it to the WS you could go to game 1/3 and sell game 2/4, likely recouping some/half/most of the $17,990. Not saying it's a good financial decision, but if you want to try and justify it to your wife/accountant...

I would fear that going to all 81 games would ruin the fun of going to a game. Having season tickets for the last 3 years for Iowa football and basketball has sucked the excitement out of going, granted it doesn't help that they aren't that great at either one but still.
