i mean hideous as in they are ugly as [expletive] and the color really clashes with the wrigley green

best I can tell, they had two sets of panels. "HICAGO CUBS" and "HICAGO BEARS." (the photos from today show the first "C" was static.)

I wonder why CHICAGO wasn't static instead of just the C.

I'd imagine the kerning is slightly different based on the number of characters.
