Disable Tapatalk?

Postby Tim » Wed May 13, 2015 12:32 pm

Given the improvements to the site when viewed on mobile devices and the issues Tapatalk is having with properly formatting quotes, should I disable that plugin for the time being?

What I like about this is the people using Tapatalk can't vote.

You know what the best part about NSBB is? Voting in polls.
During a "Not For Women Only" panel discussion, former Cubs pitcher Mike Bielecki asked several players to invent a baseball catch phrase for Viagra. Theriot's ad campaign: "Viagra -- I always play hard."

It annoys me that there's a don't care option

if you don't use tapatalk you should vote yes because those quotes are a travesty

I don't know what quote issue you're talking about, but if it's in the game threads, I don't care.

Though the mobile site is better than it was, I prefer tapatalk to the mobile for reading the forum.

Yep, quote this post, then come back and read it on the web.

If you view that "multiquote" through the normal forum web interface, it's jacked up.

Looks fine in tapatalk though.

I prefer Tapatalk despite its incompatibility with polls/Twitter embed. I'm just steering clear of quotes until such time as it gets fixed (or disabled I guess).

Tim should just make a unilateral decision on this.

I think you should buy Tapatalk and fix it.

Bring back NSBB premium, I'm sure you can raise the capital.

I use mostly the web interface. But my LTE coverage here is so spotty, and at times when I'm not getting LTE, I certainly prefer Tapatalk. It makes the site faster to load. So I can read, lurk, and logoff quicker.

I much prefer lurking on Tapatalk over lurking on the mobile site. It is much easier to jump to the first new post in a thread on Tapatalk.

Yeah while the app for the iPhone sucks, using tapatalk on my iPad is super great and I would very much appreciate being able to continue using it

Is it possible to allow reading, but not posting with tapatalk maybe?

How about just try to remind people not to quote with tapatalk and live with a tiny bit of annoyance?

if you aren't going to disable it then at least ban anybody who tags their posts as having been sent via tapatalk.
