lol, wow. Nick Gordon has a sub .600 OPS as well.

Yeah, let's just take Andrew Benintendi and call it a day.

Or, compare Gordon to Gleyber Torres, who is a year younger.

Not that it makes a huge difference, but Appel is still in AA.

While Keith Law's beloved Michael Conforto sits in A+ with an .809OPS.

well, a line of .280/.340/.469/.808 is still good for a college player in the FSL in his first full season. not many guys just schwarber the hell out of every level.

And people are no longer saying he "should be doing this"

except it was stupid when people said it last year. yes, an advanced college player picked in the first round should be able to hit in the low minors. but he was a year and a half younger than the average player in the FSL and posted an ops close to 1.000 at that level.

by the way, remember when mcleod said this last year?

@sahadevsharma: McLeod on Schwarber moving quickly (2/3): I don’t want people think he’s going to be in AA, doing what Kris is doing this time next year.

fast forward one year - schwarber is in AA, doing pretty much what kris bryant did to the league.

Mariners prospect OF Alex Jackson has been reassigned to Extended Spring Training from Low-A Clinton.

The demotion isn’t entirely surprising, as Jackson was struggling mightily in the Midwest League with a .157/.240/.213 batting line, no home runs and a 35/6 strikeout-to-walk ratio through 28 games. The 19-year-old outfielder had a strong pro debut after the Mariners took him sixth overall in last year’s draft, posting an .820 OPS with 10 extra-base hits (2 HR) across 23 games in the Rookie-level Arizona League.

Rangers are bringing up Joey Gallo who is currently sporting a 33.6% K rate at AA and batting .311 with a .456babip. This could get really really ugly.

Yeah, he does not seem like the type of player who should be skipping AAA. At least this might make us feel a little better about Baez's debut.

Wow, even with Beltre's injury, that's really surprising. Other than walking more, I can't imagine his line will look any better than Javy last year.

For comparison's sake, Javy's K rate at AA was 28.8% and 30% at AAA last year.

Tex scored 15 runs on 19 hits. The White Sox pitching was just god awful.

No, but he is out for the year again.

Odor will have a better career, anyway.

In my keeper league I made a big trade before the beginning of 2014 and I gave up Profar, Bauer, Skaggs, and Castellanos in exchange for Max Scherzer and David Price. I still have Price and Scherzer, and I drafted Skaggs and stashed him on my DL this season after he was dropped. Think it's safe to say I won that trade.

Is it just me or does it seem like the Twins are rushing Buxton.
