Candelario should be there without a vote. I was conflicted because Tellez is on that ballot too, same team, and the West options bore me. Couldn't pick both of them so went Jeimer.

I'm going with cramps.

Callis tweeted that he might be the best C prospect in baseball. I translate that to "sell high" but that's me.

There were reports the Cubs turned down deals that involved Contreras at the deadline this year. Just out of curiosity, what do you think he's worth? What would other teams give up for him?

For him by himself? Nothing worthwhile, but with other prospects I think he'd make good headway on a deal for a Teheran or a Bauer/Salazar from the Indians.

An 86 MPH slide that didn't slide from Corey Black just got rocked. He's hit 98 on MLBN too, but was too cute that inning. Threw three meh change ups in a row and got a strike out of one.

Brewer's Will Smith please. Add him and O'day and the bullpen is a monster.

Finally got around to taking a gander at Mark Zagunis' lol-worthy AFL stats. 19 BB in 63 PA for a 30.2 BB% and .476 OBP. He has an .840 OPS.

For those keeping score at home - that's a .364 SLG in the AFL from a college trained COF bat.

Which is fairly below his usual SLG. Probably hard to hit XBH when you're walking a third of the damn time.

What's Zagunis' ceiling? Swisher with a little less power and a little more contact/BA?

If things go right, Zagunis should be like a poor man's Rusty Greer.
