i am remembering someone named williams?
neither name sounded at all familiar before this season. where did these guys come from? the easy senior signs to finish off the drafts?

Ryan Williams is the Hendricks clone you probably heard of. He was a senior sign last year in the 10th round for slot savings and finished strong at AA.
Markey is also in that mold(counting tonight: 52 IP, 48 K, 7 BB, 1 HR) and was a 19th round senior sign last year.
What I'm not sure of is why Markey came out of the pen until he was promoted to Myrtle Beach in July, anyone know?

Williams is the Hendricks redux guy. We drafted Markey last year too, but he's a harder thrower. Shorter though, so he's got the future reliever stigma that he'll have to overcome.
Additional rule: you have to have one or the other. The only exception is you have an amazing board name. davell, I'm looking at you; put up a [expletive] avatar or something if your name only sounds like somebody tried say Dave as they lapsed into a coma.

It looks like a he got a late start to the season. Maybe just building his arm up to go deeper in games?

Yeah, Williams was the first Hendricks-redux guy. This is Hendricks-redux-guy redux guy. Except, Markey apparently is getting it into the mid-90s, so maybe he's more.

I'm guessing that his velocity increase is a recent enough trend that he became more interesting midyear.
Re: Minor League Playoff Discussion & Box, 9-10-15
ah darn, a leadoff double in the 8th for the Dash. No-no over
Re: Minor League Playoff Discussion & Box, 9-10-15
He finished with a line of 8 IP, 1 H, 1 R (unearned), 1 BB, 8 K
Re: Minor League Playoff Discussion & Box, 9-10-15
And they're in a rain delay, up 4-1, top of 9th, bases loaded, no outs.
