Should I tell you the name of the one who spoke it or where he lives?

This all seems pretty plausible, but I wanted to note that in the show the guy who castrated Varys lives In a box in Kings Landing with his mouth sewn shut. Or at least his corpse does, if Varys didn't arrange a caretaker before the escape.

"the one who spoke it" and the sorcerer Varys got fedexed in a box are not the same

Think about what you've done while you're there.

so i recently completed a rewatch, and I have come up with a theory for how Jon will return.

- Melisandre will see Jon's body, and attempt to bring him back... it won't work.

- the night's watch will have a funeral, declare his watch has now ended, and light up his pyre.

- Melisandre will look into the flames and be shocked/surprised/happy, everyone leaves but she stays

- The fire eventually burns down, and out walks Jon with a flaming longclaw

Came here to talk about the Ian McShane casting. I think he'd be great for Tarly, he'd be good for Marwyn as well if they do go that direction.

Heck, he'd be great as a narrator that's for some reason introduced in the 6th season.

There is no way he is not Tarley. Can you imagine the venom in his words when he talks about Sam?

So what is the policy on 'spoilers' in this thread now, with pretty much everything being tv spoilers and potential book spoilers?

Some low level news.... I'd put it at about a 1 out of 10 on spoiler magnitude, but to be safe I'll tag it.

Spoiler: show
the people that play Rickon and Osha are in Belfast (where GOT is currently filming)

Buzz building around a new Jon Snow theory. Spoilered just to be safe:

Spoiler: show
Theory says that Jon has a twin sister.....Meera Reed. That at the Tower of Joy, Lyanna gives one twin to Ned, and one to Howland.

On the show, they cast an actress for Meera who a) looks like Jon (black curly hair, etc.) and b) doesn't look like her brother

Ha. If that's true these books are getting stupider and stupider every sentence he writes.

The question, as with any fan theory, is "to what end?" I mean, it's already unclear what the endgame of 3/4 of the established characters will be, much less a secondary or tertiary character.

So that 3 people have a reason to ride dragons and wreck [expletive]. Duh.
And who, according to Showalter, best exemplifies high-buttedness? Cubs first baseman Derrek Lee. "I don’t want to say he’s got a perfect butt, but when I look at it I say, Wow."

He has 4-5 different Star Wars happening contemporaneously in the same series.

more 3/4 of the characters will be dead at the end of the book and there will be a resolution to the story. Don't you know how books work?
