You [expletive] up, because now i'm sharing cat pics motherf*&$%$.

Here's my current cat, Took. Pics from when he was a kitten wreaking havoc on my wife's computer to his adulthood, where he's been known to strike an extremely casual pose while surveying the front yard.

Image

Image
^^likely mistaking my furry arm for the leg of another cat

Image
^^sleeping on my chest

Image
^^his favorite thing to do: get to a higher position and look at me dismissively.

Image
^^chillin

And he's my old cat Smaug (RIP) who had the baddest face in cat history.

Image
^^facial markings look like the Assassin's Creed logo. Which makes sense since he murdered hundreds of mice in his lifetime.

I want a second cat, but adding a second one to the house when Took is so entrenched seems like a gamble. It would suck if it created behavioral issues. We should've just gotten two when we got him.

How much does he weigh? Looks like a big cat.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

we have three of these [expletive] because we're suckers.

this is elliott. a stray had a litter of 4 outside our old duplex so we took them in, found homes for 3 of them, and kept this guy. he's very particular and really only likes my wife and myself, but he's softening a tad as he gets older.

a couple years later a friend's girlfriend's cat had kittens and we took one in. meet Tobias. he's kind of fat but he loves everyone and even plays fetch.

and finally, Rusty. we found him a couple years after we got Tobias when we were at a driving range. there's was a box truck in the parking lot and there was this deafening meow coming from it. we thought it was a cat in heat but it was this tiny little guy and he had cuts and scabs all over him. we took him in and cleaned him up and after a few weekstried finding a home for him but couldn't find any takers, and Elliott really took to him (which never happens), so he just kind of became ours. he's terrified of everything and noisy as [expletive] at 5 am, but his face is cute at least. he's also Took's twin brother, obviously.

i don't know, but he certainly is a pretty good size cat. he's at least twice as heavy as our other one.

I [expletive] hate cats, but I have 3 of them in my house (wife & kids have 3, I have 0). But there's a hole in my basement half window and apparently cats like to come inside my basement to give birth to kittens they abandon shortly thereafter.

6 kittens have been born in or near my house since Labor Day (no pun).

Got the first cat (8 years ago) because a cat was at our door one night the week of Thanksgiving. Obviously starving. I went across the street to the little convenience store and got a can of cat food. Fed it. But with Thanksgiving travel, we couldn't leave it in the house. So, we went out that night to drop my stepkids at their dad's....got back home and some [expletive] ran the cat over and it was laying in the street in front of our house. Took it to the emergency vet, where they put it to sleep (and charged us a "good samaritan" discount of like $85). After telling the kids we'd keep the cat if he was there when we got home, my wife didn't want to tell them what happened so went to the shelter and got a cat just like it.

Next cat we got was one of 3 and a mom found in our basement. Mother was a complete A-hole and hissed and tried to kill the kittens when we got them upstairs. Took her to the woods. 2 of the kittens we took to a farm where a family friend feeds them and lets them live in her garage. But my wife wanted to keep one because he was so cute.

And most recent one, 6 weeks ago, was 1 of 2. Mom abandoned the kittens. The girl kitten didn't make it, so kids felt bad and didn't want to take the other one to be alone on the farm or some crap.

3 weeks ago, found 2 more abandoned kittens in the basement (not sure how, window is fixed by this point) and 2 more outside. They were about 2 days old max when found. 1 would not eat out of the bottle and basically starved itself to death. The other one we just gave away Sunday. The 2 outside, well they stayed outside until the neighbor decided she wanted them.

It seems that at least once a week people are posting on reddit pictures of cats chilling in their house, and then saying "I came home to this...I don't own a cat."

For some reason this picture cracks me up. I think it's the combo of those stubby legs, long sausage body, and pin head.

I love cats. But I love the original post in this thread more.
Just an average guy with exceptional hair. No more, no less.
