I like the Padres drafting Everett Williams. It allows them to hedge their bets against Tate not signing.

What's the general feeling on Kentrail Davis? He was probably the most talented player at UT this year, but I had no idea how he was viewed nationally.

Why do you think he'll be a tough sign?

As a draft eligible sophomore, he's got plenty of chances to go back and try to up his stock if he doesn't feel he's getting paid like he should... which he probably wont be, given his performance this season.

Reportedly the Brewers had worked out a pre-draft deal with someone who was a signability question. Considering Arnett doesn't have those questions, they may have worked something out with Davis.

Yeah, he was hurt some this year and was generally disappointing.

Now that the Brewers took him, I especially hope he returns to UT.

Blast. I would think he'd want to head back and try to be a first rounder next year.

I would really like to get him, I know he has concerns over his approach and position but I think he could be a solid bat.

Jackson got over slot at $90,000 as a 9th rounder. Sean Gallagher had something like a $60,000 bonus as a 12th rounder.

$90,000 is actually under slot in the 9th round or just barely slot.

Meph Draft

1-31) Tanner Scheppers, RHP - St Paul Saints
2-79) Jeff Malm, 1B - Bishop Gorman HS (NV)

I passed on David Renfroe and Daniel Fields for signability reasons. Fields is one of my BIG sleepers. I was torn between Jeff Malm, Chris Dominguez, those two, David Hale and Brody Colvin. I'm hoping one of Myers, Stassi, Maddox or Bailey is there in thirty picks. Not too confident.
