tulo put up a very defense heavy 1.4 fWAR in his time with the blue jays (with a 91 wRC+)

that said i agree with that being a dumb standard
Tulo's signed through 2020, so it's not like they gave up prospects for a rental. He's still going to provide value to them beyond 2015.
