It's Jon Heyman. I'm not quite sure he pays attention.

It was a 95 year drought.

Anthopolous is leaving Toronto. Wow. No jobs open either. Guess he's not a Shapiro fan.

Mattingly to Marlins is done according to Molly Knight.

Tim Wilken has been tweeting negativity about Shapiro since this story started

In hindsight, trading for Tulo was a bad idea even though he almost single handedly turned their season from also ran to division winner. By that standard, no trade is ever worth it unless you win the WS

tulo put up a very defense heavy 1.4 fWAR in his time with the blue jays (with a 91 wRC+)

let's not go crazy there

that said i agree with that being a dumb standard

Tulo's signed through 2020, so it's not like they gave up prospects for a rental. He's still going to provide value to them beyond 2015.

@TNT_Mariners: #Mariners add Joe Bohringer as a special assistant to the GM. He spent last four years as the Cubs' director of pro scouting.

I know we hired the Red Sox guy to take that job, but I thought we were keeping Bohringer.

Mike Rizzo is Ruben Amaro, the only difference being he's had extremely good luck when it comes to the draft.

http://curlyw.mlblogs.com/2015/11/03/na ... r-manager/

“We were looking for a manager to help us achieve our ultimate goal of competing for a World Series championship,” said Theodore N. Lerner, Managing Principal Owner of the Nationals. “During our broad search process we met with many qualified candidates, and ultimately it was clear that Dusty’s deep experience was the best fit for our ballclub.”

They evidently offered Black two years at under 2 per. The [expletive] Marlins gave Mattingly 4/10.

Wonder how much they're giving Dusty then.
