The hell of it is this team needs more starting pitching to be a playoff factor even if they manage to get their way there and Jed has shown no appetite (not saying he's wrong in the long term, but he's shown no appetite) for going after game changing talent in season. So it just doesn't feel like this team has much of a chance to do anything unless all the bats get hot at once at a convenient time.
Don't remotely care about either. I know we aren't getting one without the other.
If they put in an owner revenue cap after which their profits get distributed to the city, then I'm in for a player salary cap. Until then, hell no.
That looks like a union attempt to have some sort of giveback in exchange for several demands that management is unlikely to give the time of day.
It also gives them an easy talking point when it gets swatted down: "We literally offered them guaranteed profits and they rejected it"
It's always a fun part of a losing streak when the team that hasn't scored worth horsefeathers in a week finally gets some offense on the day they give up 8 runs
