Re: Chicago Bears offseason

Great overall grades for the Bears draft from many experts. I don't know that they could have gotten better value given the draft choices. A few of the UDFA pickups could have doubled as mid/late round draft picks and gives the Bears a lot of skill position options/battles to make the team. This off...

Re: NHL Thread

Vegas got screwed. It was an unfortunate hit but shouldn't of been a major. I wouldn't say they got screwed. That cross check was just dumb. You're up 3-0 with less than 11 minutes left in the game, any penalty is dumb. That he cross checked him so hard on a face off that he hit his head on the ice...

Re: Game of Thrones

Also, Tyrion is not smart. His only two intellectual accomplishments in terms of leadership are: 1) Slightly outsmarting Cersei in King's Landing for awhile 2) Holding out in a fortified city long enough for reinforcements to arrive after having time to prepare, which is literally the entire point ...

Bush is going into his 4th year, so he'll likely be a free agent next year.

Re: Chicago Bears offseason

$3.5m for Dix seems like a good alternative to what Amos is getting. hopefully it's not "you get what you pay for" This is probably going to work out wonderfully for the Bears. This is a chance for Clinton-Dix to impress this season to be in a position to get a more player friendly contra...

Re: Chicago Bears offseason

With Eric Berry missing most of the past 2 years, there is talk that he may have to settle for a prove it deal. Might be worth exploring if you can get him for one year on the cheap. Probably still drafting a S with one of the first two picks if you go that route. Clinton-Dix would certainly be a sa...

With the 49ers signing Tevin Coleman, there is discussion that Jerrick McKinnon could be cut. He might be a nice complement to Cohen and Davis, assuming McKinnon will be fully healthy.

Re: Chicago Bears offseason

Le'Veon Bell wasn't happy with the 3 year 45m offer Pittsburgh tried to give him last year. I think most of that was guaranteed. And then he sat out a whole year and didn't get paid at all. So how much will he be expecting someone to give him this year? With all of this cap space clearing going on, ...

Re: AAF 1st (only?) season

Tickets to the San Diego Fleet game this weekend are $30 regardless of where you want to sit. It's supposed to rain for their first home game, but even still, I'd venture to guess that the crowd for the game on Sunday will be comparable or even bigger than a Charger game this year. And that's coming...

did the Padres wake up and decide to be a real team in the last week, or are they just trying to make it look like they tried for their fans? (jumping in on Harper, Machado and Realmuto) I think it’s the former, actually. They’ve freed up some money and Preller, while bat [expletive] nuts, is aggre...

I guess I will be saving money by not going to that game if the Raiders do choose to play in San Diego next year. It might be fun going to a Raiders/Chargers game with the Chargers being the visitors.

Yep. I have a NoCal trip planned for April, and Yosemite is tentatively the big thing we want to do, but it may turn into a wine country excursion. We rented a cabin up near King's Canyon and then used that as our home base to find good hiking trails here and there. Plenty to see. Which entrance is...

I recommend a trip over to Catalina Island with the parks being iffy. Of course, there's Disneyland and Universal Studios and the like. The drive along the coast starting north at Santa Barbara is pretty awesome. The beaches can still be fun for a kid even if it's too cold to go in the water this ti...
