Re: Week 12: Bears @ Lions Turkey Day on CBS at 11:30

I like Daniel as the backup, and I doubt they could find a better backup since he's as familiar with the Nagy offense as anyone could be. I think they win against the Lions if Daniel plays, but I do hope Trubisky can go.

Re: Week 11: Vikings at Chicago Sunday night on NBC

It's probably true with most great pass rushers but, Mack gets held quite a bit. Even when Hicks was making tackles for loss, he was dragging guys who had their arms wrapped around him. Time and time again. Hicks was an unstoppable monster last night, and the officials hate calling holding on Bears...

Re: Week 11: Vikings at Chicago Sunday night on NBC

That first pick that Trubisky threw looked like Jordan Howard was wide open in the flat. I've seen several instances where Trubisky has chosen a deeper throw over dumping down. It's a 5-7 yard gain even if Howard does't get any yardage after the catch. Maybe they will catch this on game films. I'm n...

Somebody told me they have a thin crust pizza now. I've never been huge fan of pan, thick or deep dish. Thin crust is where it's at. I might have $6 laying around to give it a try.

Re: Week 10: Lions at Bears Sunday noon on Fox

Before the second quarter started, I announced that it was Anthony Miller's turn to take over after Allen Robinson went crazy in the first, and my Lion's fan buddy got really quiet with me for the rest of the game after Miller exploded exactly as I declared. Fun game. Parkey even made it fun, and I ...

Sad that Cam Meredith didn't fully recover from his injury. I thought he would be awesome this year with Brees as his QB and teams double teaming Michael Thomas. Turns out you can't double team Michael Thomas.

Re: Week 9: Bears at Bills Sunday noon? On fox

In a league where 24 of the 32 teams will likely finish between 6-10 and 10-6, this soft schedule vs tough schedule stuff is nonsense. People are touting the Chargers as some kind of special this year and their 5 wins were against the 49ers, Raiders, Browns, Bills and a one point win at home over t...

Re: Week 9: Bears at Bills Sunday noon? On fox

I think I heard that Stafford got sacked 10 times this week. The return of a hungry Khalil Mack and the first real appearance of Leonard Floyd should give the exhausted Lions OLine plenty to worry about. I'm all about adding Bruce Irvin if they can work it out. They are sitting in first place in the...

Re: NFL Week 9

And now the Raiders outright released Bruce Irvin only days after the trade deadline. How popular is the Gruden signing now? I'm pretty sure you could hire a baboon to dismantle a football team. I'm just not so sure the baboon could dismantle as quickly as Gruden has. Irvin's high road parting speec...

Re: NFL Week 9

Ah, I was only thinking future draft picks not former 1st rounders. I get what you’re saying now. I don’t think they know where they’re playing next year. It won’t be Oakland and the Vegas stadium won’t be ready yet. I read one report that the UNLV stadium is an option. They'd be foolish to pass on...

Re: NFL Week 9

It’s cool. We’ve got 3 1st round picks in the draft next year and that’s basically the same as winning a Super Bowl. They traded away 2 1st rounders. Net gain of 1 extra first round pick. Likelihood that any of the 3 first rounders are Khalil Mack good? Not likely. Picks in the top 10? Their own. B...

Cooper isn't even on a team in my 12 team fantasy league. Two other leagues people have attempted to trade me Amari Cooper for something of value. I declined the offers. I might scoop him up if he fits the Dallas offense better than Oakland, but Dallas giving up a first for him. WOW!

Re: Week 7: Patriots @ Bears noon on CBS

I really want to know why they ever run the ball out of the end zone and why they couldn't kick into the end zone. Those two things alone could have reversed the score. I'm assuming the reason Cunningham ran the one particular ball out of the endzone was because it was only about a yard or two deep...

Re: Week 7: Patriots @ Bears noon on CBS

Trubisky has a 97.1 QB rating. Combined passing and rushing he produced 414 yards and 3 TDs yesterday. Some of you don't deserve Mitch and should go back to the Moses Moreno days. he had a 50% completion percentage, 2 picks and 2 more shoulda been picks. You are right. He did deserve two more picks...

Re: Week 7: Patriots @ Bears noon on CBS

There was so much nonsense happening in that game that I could write a novel. The overthrows, Leonard Floyd covering James White one on one out of the backfield in the redzone with the Bears only rushing 3. An illegal formation call on your most basic Jordan Howard up the middle for a 2 yard td. Nag...

I didn't even realize I was watching the finale. I looked for new episodes these past two weeks when it finally dawned on me that "S'all good, man" was the perfect season ender line. Absolutely love BCS, but to me it will never top Breaking Bad. The writing seems better and more tedious fo...

Re: Week 7: Patriots @ Bears noon on CBS

Not digging this matchup at all. Miami dinked and dunked their way to victory against what was supposed to be a ferocious defense. NE is not only better at Miami's "Bears game plan", but they now have deep threats to mix in if the Bears do make adjustments on the short and quick game. Brad...

I guess I also forgot to mention there wasn't a single holding call on the Miami offensive line in a game where I saw a lot of holding taking place. One was so blatantly obvious that I was 100% certain the play was going to be called back. Nope.

Re: Week 6: Bears @ Miami noon Sunday on Fox

Two of the biggest knowns going into this game was Miami couldn't stop the run and Osweiler is one of the worst QB's in NFL history against the blitz. The few times the Bears ran a blitz, Osweiler panicked and threw the ball away. The entire game, Miami focused on dumping the ball over the middle be...

Re: Week 5 - Bears vs the Bye

Packers down 11 with 7 seconds left just entered fg range and McCarthy smartly has Crosby kick a fg. Then Thom Brennaman starts gushing about how great a move it was to kick that fg to let Crosby gain confidence. No, you kick first hoping you have enough time to recover an onside and throw a Hail M...
