Re: Bears offseason

San Fran has a big smile on their face today. I hope Trubisky is the guy. Shouldn't take him long to jump ahead of Bob Avellini and Bobby Joe Douglas among the Bears career passing leaders. LOL.

ATTN: Expert Analysis Post There was no radar gun in "Historic Grangier Stadium". Hopefully it's less historic and more today's day and age soon. Hatch seemed to be pretty good/ok. Basically he seemed to be a "guy" - though he touched on being a gamer at times. He threw pitches....

Re: I like Gold Gloves and I cannot lie: the Jason Heyward thread

As much as I'm enjoying this season so far, nothing makes me happier than to see Heyward getting such positive results at the plate.

Re: Bears offseason

lol all i said was that if you look at the past 25 years they are a little above browns level and if you look at the past 15 they are pretty much meh. Still too positive! I get not liking the Bears, I will never understand your distaste for hockey. Especially right now. Hawks are firing on all cyli...

Re: Bears offseason

The Bears had the most money available to spend this offseason, correct?

Overpaying for a QB while missing out on all of the big name FA's that fit your needs is not a very good game plan.

Re: Bears offseason

I am looking forward to following Cutler on the Jets next year. Honestly if Romo goes to Denver, I think Jay winds up in Houston or Miami. Based on things I've read, he'll probably retire before going to NYJ or Cleveland. The market has worked out pretty well for him. Taylor is staying in Buffalo, ...

Re: Bears offseason

Gooney get out of your NY bubble and realize it's not just the fans that hate Cutler it's the people in the building too. It might be irrational but the Cutler ship has sailed. Maybe the problem is the people in the building. Haha. The pitch was lobbed and Gooney cracked it over the left field fenc...

Re: Bears offseason

I've talked myself into being OK with the Glennon thing. Highest PFF rated FA QB (other than Cousins), and I know that's damning with faint praise, but he's a competent player there. I liked him a couple years ago when he was starting for the Bucs, and then they had Winston fall in their laps. In 2...

Re: Bears offseason

I've been a Cutler apologist as long as you have, but he's now about as popular as ketchup on a hot dog on the Fourth of July in Chicago. I could not care less about this theory. If Pace gets the opportunity to move forward after his disappointing early results, he should do so only with the eye to...

Re: Bears offseason

Theo Epstein is the greatest thing to ever happen to Ryan Pace. If he can convince management that in year 3 John Fox as HC and Mike Glennon at QB is good enough for him to have a job..., boy howdy. Where is your solution? John Fox would be long gone. At the very least he doesn't get to work with C...

Anybody been to St. Louis for a game lately? Just found out I will be in St. Louis in mid-April for a conference. The Cardinals are hosting the Pirates that week. I feel like my love of baseball will overtake my distaste for the BFIB,so I will probably catch a game. Besides, not like I'll have many...

Re: Cubs offseason thread

With the amount of veteran bullpen arms already in the fold, is the idea of stretching Carl Edwards Jr. back out to be a starter completely out of the question? Obviously, it's probably not a good sign that he hasn't started in 2 years, but am curious what the reason was behind converting him.

Re-sign Alshon, or maybe bring in Josh Gordon. Isn't Gordon looking at another suspension since he couldn't get back from his last one without having to check into rehab again? I'm all about bringing back Jeffrey. Hoping for White to be healthy and to contribute is too big of a gamble to let Jeffre...
