Re: Movie Thread 2: The Sequel

Went to a screening of The Discovery which premieres on Netflix March 31st last night and it had a Q&A with Jason Segel, director/writer Charlie McDowell, and hosted by Joe Swanberg. The movie was pretty good. Nothing groundbreaking, but it explores an interesting topic and it has a decent myste...

The fact that they put a retro mode into The Show to make an old school arcade style of gameplay is enough to make me buy a PS4 as soon as I can afford it. And it will mark the 5th time I've purchased a Sony Playstation specifically to play The Show

#26: Cubs' Defense Finishes off the Dodgers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2J9Vnw4M-E When the Cubs won the World Series, I felt a tremendous weight come off my shoulders, it was almost euphoric jubilation. But when this happened I broke down and cried because this was something I had never thoug...

Re: General Baseball Chit-Chat Thread

Seriously, when the Dodgers got Friedman I was like "Oh horsefeathers, this could be a problem for the Cubs" and he's really not doing anything that makes me afraid the Cubs can't defeat them in any capacity unless Kershaw is on the mound, and that's nothing Friedman can take credit for. H...

Yes he was. He was the "MLB International" broadcaster. Jesus, how many people were watching that feed in America? I dunno, but his call was replayed a lot....."Santa Maria!" Eh, I never saw it, and MLB.com's highlights were all from Fox. And most of the season recap videos I wa...

That and Matt Vasgersian wasn't a World Series broadcaster. MLB network Yeah, no. The World Series was broadcast on Fox and Fox alone in America. The only way you got Vasgersian was in Canada or an MLB International feed. Fox televised the series in the United States, under contract with Major Leag...

Last week I actually sought out Armond White's review to see if he horsefeathers all over it and the first sentence is something that, I assume, spoils the horsefeathering movie.

Re: Food Monstrosities

Cheesy Gordita Crunch is too low, IMO. That's my favorite single item on the Taco Bell menu. It was better when it had Baja Sauce on it, but they discontinued Baja Sauce like a bunch of buttholes and replaced it with "spicy ranch" or whatever they're calling it now. That said, it doesn't ...
