Re: The Travel Thread

Going to Paris in June. Any suggestions on things to avoid/be sure to do while there or on a day trip to London? Besides the basics of Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, etc. I'm going back to London in a week so it is very much on my mind. For just looking around and sightseeing, there's Tower Bridge, Traf...

Re: Politics & Current Events

Your man has done nothing to be impeached, nor do I want him impeached. I want to see him drag this country to a place that we never want to go, ever again. I want Trump to be a lesson, a cautionary lesson in obstruction. Someone who will so incapacitate his party and viewpoint, that they will neve...

i had a hamilton/election experience so bleak that i can laugh about it now. i bought tickets to the november 9 matinee in advance, on purpose. after the results came in a huge amount of resale tickets went up on ticketmaster, so i couldn't get rid of them. i went and cried during "the schuyler...

who are these reliable democrats who voted for obama, still think he's great, and then refuse to vote for the woman who would continue his policies? Men. It would help if we stopped this kind of talk too. There's a lot of men out there whose lives suck and who see that men are privileged and blamed...

i love all things English and election coverage so i thought this would be my super bowl, but in the end it was pretty depressing.

you absolutely don't need a car around london. the tube goes everywhere, it's easy to navigate, and on most routes a train comes every 1-3 minutes. i probably made around 40 trips in two weeks and i don't think i ever had to wait on the platform for more than 4 minutes. it's incredible. you can buy ...

I honestly would love to see them nominate Kasich. He's the only serious candidate of the bunch and perhaps they could get an honest debate on issues facing this country. oh good, let's run against the guy who just gutted planned parenthood in ohio—and who has the best chance in the general electio...

A LITTLE nervous? People with functioning brains should be VERY nervous about Rubio. He gives me hives. I feel like I can weather a Rubio presidency. He's slimy enough to abandon his roots and centralize at least a little once he's on top. I'd rather deal with a politician than a true believer like...
