Re: The Starting Pitching Trade Candidates

Maybe the Rangers like some of our high ceiling single A and lower guys?

Yankees might not want to part with a stud and the Rangers might prefer our super young dude to some other teams?

Ugh hell with Lackey. I love Happ but id almost trade him for a Darvish rental just not to see Lackey anymore.

Somebody tell me why this Tyler O'Neill cat isn't good so I can crush Cards fans hopes and dreams? Too much swing and miss? Not enough OBP? Tons of swing and miss but then again, Tommy Pham has a 140 wRC+ this year after spending parts of 11 seasons in the minors. So you know this guy is the next J...

Quintana was probably drooling at the chance of facing that Sox offense that he got to see in person blow his wonderful starts for years and years. Poor guy.

Jesus, what a click bait, hot take troll. https://twitter.com/MorrisseyCST/status/885574350396641281 It’s a trade that is all about the future, which is fine if the future is what floats your boat. And it apparently floats an armada, judging by Cubs fans’ reaction to the trade on social media. But ...

He is a good #3. The Cubs gave up at top 3 prospect in the game for a guy that has underwhelmed this season until recently. Watch him pitch and tell me he is an ace...its just not there. Who will argue that? Lol I feel like im in a scene from moneyball. HendrysWallet one of the oldschool scout call...

Im at the point I think Baez is the least likely to be moved out of him, Russell and Happ now.

Happ's value might be at its highest and a perfect time to move & I feel Baez has surpassed Russell on both sides of the ball, plus still has the much higher ceiling.

If they want to pick up that contract and throw the Zagunis/Hatch/Candelario's of the farm then fine, whatever. However if they end up picking up that contract and dealing any of Eloy,Happ,Cease then that's going to be near impossible to justify to me. Eloy and Happ id be pissed. Cease... id sigh d...

So how long will the demotion last? “Until he’s himself again. I’m not going to put any limits on it one way or the other,” Epstein said. “Knowing him, how hard he’s going to work, and how talented he is, I wouldn’t expect it to be too long.” As for when the team will know when Schwarber is ready, ...

Got it. Well this scenario of not having Javy isn't that big of a deal to me over whoever the back up SS would be because Javy would be mostly a glove only backup, IMO, if he has to expand to a starting role for a ~month with not having the luxury of being protected vs RHP and facing favorable pitc...

To me, the improvements he's already made offensively makes it much, much more likely that he'll keep improving. His upside is still very far from his current product, which is still a 3 win guy up the middle. Personally, I'm not concerned if they DO deal him, only because I feel like we'd need to ...
