Re: Golf thread
He put his drive in to a fairway bunker and on his second shot clipped the ball and sent a missile to to this spot, then the wheels came off.

Re: Cubs Sign 2020 MVP Candidate
https://twitter.com/JonHeyman/status/1365320219103813635?s=19 I assume Wick goes on the 60 Day to make this work Yeah I’d assume giving Tepera and Workman MLB deals is indicative Wick isn’t pitching until sometime in the summer at the earliest. Tepera had the third highest whiff rate of all RPs las...

Re: General Cubs Chit-Chat
If it’s true they’re really deadening the ball a bit that should really benefit our entire staff and the pitcher projections could be extra off. A deader ball benefits our staff more than about any team in the league, imo. Throw in I’d expect the defense outperforms the projections above plus have f...

horsefeathers it. Hopefully he’s okay. He was interviewed Sunday at the tournament and looked kinda horsefeathers up like he was drinking or using pills again and sounded pretty down and depressed discussing playing again anytime soon. https://twitter.com/lasdhq/status/1364295974961573889?s=21 That ...

Re: Kyle Hendricks: Somehow Greg Maddux
Not saying he should be near a favorite and even think he will win, but it’s just insulting Hendricks isn’t listed on here looking at some of the names included. I’d bet he out WARs a high percent of them if he doesn’t get hurt.

It's primarily due to the federal credo of "horsefeathers you, got mine" that existed prior to a month ago. ....what? The Trump administration's policy on, well, everything, boiled down to "horsefeathers you, got mine". They made sure they had enough vaccinations for themselves,...

Re: CDC Info on COVID-19 (Corona virus)
Does the vaccine 'plans' that you guys are talking about imply that there's sufficient distribution infrastructure set up to actually get the vaccines to people? If that's just talking about production, little less excited....doesn't matter how many vaccines Pfizer etc can ship to the Walmarts and ...

Finau is just cursed/in his head at this point (he’s switching up his putter stroke like crazy). I feel bad for the guy, well as much as one can for a guy making millions to golf and firmly has his tour card for the rest of his career. He seems like such a good dude too. Guy just can’t close out eve...

Re: Maybin Back on MiLB Deal
Hard to see a path for him to make the opening day roster with Ervin and Marisnick, as they have more clear attributes to help the team. Well Ervin was just DFA for Marisnick Hopefully we are able to keep Ervin and he doesn’t get claimed. Liked his fit more for the roster than Maybin and would’ve r...

screw off you pessimists and you doom boners it's spring and the world is showing signs of not being a complete disaster within a relatively short time frame. now is the time for optimism. KB, Javy, Rizzo and Willy are going to carry this team in the infield. they are all very good, so hopefully th...

Re: Bulls '20-'21
Should we have taken Haliburton? Obviously would have been a huge reach at 4 but the teams biggest need was always PG IMO. In a redraft he almost assuredly goes before Williams. Kid is 20 with a .62 eFG. Dead-eye shooter and a low TO rate as well. Would have had a major impact on our team. Probably...

Maybin Back on MiLB Deal
Hard to see a path for him to make the opening day roster with Ervin and Marisnick, as they have more clear attributes to help the team. But glad they brought him back and he seems like a really good culture guy at least. Hopefully there’s a way for him to be on the MLB roster at some point. https:/...

https://twitter.com/statmuse/status/1362790823453106180?s=21 Not sure why this is. Probably due to the short layoff after last season, or maybe analytics causing longer midrange shots to go away. Or maybe one and done college players? :dontknow: Think it’s part offenses being smarter and taking mor...

Re: Cubs Spring Training 2021
There were some questions if Adbert had an option or not, good to see he does have one. It’s obviously a sink or swim year for him but with a innings limit on him it’s nice to have the option for flexibility and may not be the worst thing to start him in Iowa or hold him back in Arizona or whatever....
