Re: The way too early, but I'm bored, Off-season Options Thread

Assuming we get Bryce I think there’s a decent chance we get an F the LT offseason. If that’s the case I’d like to see something like..... Non-Tenders: La Stella Russell Trades: - Almora, Adbert and Kintzler for Archie Bradley - Happ, Zack Short, prospect(s) and Chatwood to the Mariners for James Pa...

Re: Do you get your flu shot?

I’ve never gotten it. I always thought, stupidly I guess, that it was really only for children, older people, people with compromised health, etc. I also am just lazy about it, I turned 30 in summer and haven’t had a doctor visit/physical since HS sports and have been meaning to get in just to make ...

Re: The way too early, but I'm bored, Off-season Options Thread

Also anyone know the date options need to be exercised or declined by? Free agency opens like the day after the World Series, doesn’t it? It has to be around then?

Thoughts on Almora (pollock replacement), Adbert and Kintzler for Archie Bradley? In the ballpark?

I view the Mariners as a Kintzler or Duensing dumping ground. They’re always open to trades. Pazos coming back would be interesting. Attaching Almora to one there makes sense as they would have a need for him.

Re: The way too early, but I'm bored, Off-season Options Thread

Also, Bryce is getting way more than that. And Almora doesn't get you out from underneath Chatwood. And Brendan Little ain't getting a Will Smith type of return. I would’ve thought Darvish was gonna get $26M - $28M AAV, but the market indicated otherwise ($21M AAV). Those two aren't remotely the sa...

Re: Mediocre has-been pitcher really doesn't like Machado

the first baseman standing on top of the bag? Yes, that is dirty. His foot was taking up way too much of the bag like an idiot but Machado still had about 2/3s of the bag that was open to land his feet on, he also wasn’t running overly hard as it was a relatively routine play and he had about 3-4 s...

CPAP machines, at least for that one guy who pitched the other night. Said it added 10 MPH getting his sleep apnea under control.

Re: [Brainstorm] HR Derby Changes/Updates

We could tier it by position (idk exactly how you'd determine the cutoffs, maybe top ~6 in HRs at each position?) but you could only pick say 2 players from tier A for 2 positions of your choice, 3 from tier B for 3 positions of your choice then the rest of you lineup/positions needs to be on tier ...

i know you can't read too much into that interview but jesus god how did theo and company get tricked into hiring this idiot. My two guesses are they didn't think the guys would 100% buy in/adapt to the approach and lose their Donging ways but more blend it with their Dongs and have a super approac...

Re: The way too early, but I'm bored, Off-season Options Thread

I don’t know if this is actually legal or how it would be accounted for by MLB (maybe they wouldn’t view it as a new deal but a continuation of his current deal and the current LT hit applies for the next 2 years and only the third year would be accounted as a new deal when that comes?) but if this ...

You can't pass up trading almost your whole MLB outfield for a guy who pitched 90 total innings this year in MiLB (all in AA) and missed time with a forearm injury when the opportunity presents itself.

Re: Realistic Trade Targets

yes trading 75 percent of our outfield for a 17 year old and an albeit very good guy in AA would be bad 75%? McKenzie’s probably ML ready late 2019 or early 2020 if that helps he's a young rail thin pitcher (he's thinner than CARL EDWARDS JR unbelievably) and we'd be running out an OF of Heyward (m...
