Re: The Yu Darvish Thread

The Brewer message board guy who has sources now says the Brewers will not be getting him after saying earlier today they were making a big push and wanted a decision soon in order to make other moves if he decided on going elsewhere.....

Re: 2017-2018 NBA Season

Bucks fire Kidd Good. I hate Jason Kidd and think he's an idiot. Bucks can do better, and need to do better before Giannis and Bledsoe decide to go elsewhere. PS: I hope the Bulls target Giannis if he ever becomes disgruntled and pushes for a trade out of Milwaukee. You and every team in the league...

Re: The Yu Darvish Thread

There's some stuff in this article about their relationship and this offseason.... Chris Gimenez, who grew close with Darvish as his personal catcher with the Rangers for parts of two seasons (3.29 earned-run average in 12 starts), has recently spent two separate phone conversations sating Darvish’s...

Re: 2017-2018 NBA Season

wasn't there some sort of bizarre coup story about how he got the bucks job in the first place Yeah there was something. He’s really good friends with one of their owners, Larsay or something like that and I think the story is he kinda got himself fired or quit from the Nets on purpose to go to the...

Re: 2017 Post-Season Prospect Rankings (BA, Fangraphs, BP)

Law's write up on Ademan and Alzolay Ademan has emerged as the top position player prospect in a system thinned by promotions and trades. He signed with the Cubs for $2 million as a projectable middle infielder in the 2015 July 2 signing period and should fill out in time to turn his tools into real...

Re: The Yu Darvish Thread

It got retweeted in my timeline and it's one of the Barstool guys (I know) who has broken Yankees stuff before and he says he's hearing Ellsbury to the Brewers is coming. You would think that clears the way for the Yankees to go get Darvish. Would also make sense why the Brewers have sudden interest...

Re: Offseason Transactions

Fun Fact, according to Steamer Jason Heyward would be the leader in WAR for the Brewers in 2018. .5 more than the top position player and .4 more than the top pitcher. We have 11 players projected for more WAR than the Brewers highest projected WAR player and Bryant and Rizzo both project to produce...

Re: Offseason Transactions

How are the fans at that Brewers message board handling the idea of them shortening their window? LOL. The guy who claims to know things there says there is a waterfall of moves set up and multiple trades are agreed to but predicated on one going through. I could see something like Travis Shaw to t...

https://twitter.com/jcrasnick/status/955205368669491200 A guy who knows things/“has sources” at Brewerfan.net says this is a big trade, fwiw Villar and a bunch of prospects for Castro and Yellich? Re: Offseason Transactions

Dexter’s arm in CF was weak and can only be worse in RF. We are going to take so many extra bases on his arm out there. It’s crazy he’s going to RF lol With his arm (and really not great range) it wouldn’t surprise me if he ranks as one of the worst defensive RF’s amongst those who qualify this year

Re: Offseason Transactions

Could StL be loading up on cost controlled pitching to flip to the Marlins for Yelich? They think Pham is the second coming of Jesus. Ozuna/Pham/Dexter is their OF Dexter’s arm in CF was weak and can only be worse in RF. We are going to take so many extra bases on his arm out there. It’s crazy he’s...

Re: THE Bryce Harper in 2018 Thread

Below is a list of Brewers that Steamer projects to reach 2 WAR this year: I shouldn’t care about them as much as I do, but I’m surrounded by mostly idiot Brewer fans where I live and much of what they think that board regurgitates. They can think what they want about us, they’re wrong, but I can’t...

Re: THE Bryce Harper in 2018 Thread

Also, it remains so silly that the idea that 'you might have more good players than you can afford 3 years from now' is considered a risk. Sure maybe you don't have the flexibility to extend a guy that far out, but it's just as much a feature in case Russell or Schwarber's bat doesn't come back aro...

Re: THE Bryce Harper in 2018 Thread

Semi-related to the current discussion about the core and keeping guys, future spending, etc (since this offseason is so boring I’ve been reading other teams boards more often) Brewerfan.net is doing that thing again where Theo woefully horsefeathers up our window and it’s now closed or significantl...

Re: Starting Pitching candidates

The signing of Duensing right after the Rangers announced they were out certainly appears to be the Cubs positioning themselves to go into the season with Montgomery in the starting rotation. i think all it does is free montgomery to play the swing role again and make spot starts without relying so...
