Dexter to the 10-day DL with a left wrist strain. Probably from catching the ball like a showboating, idiot

Re: #NotAllPitchers

Strasburg and his "tight forearm," whom the Nats have $100+ million committed to and a has history of injuries won't be evaluated any further or have an MRI and will make his next start. Seems smart.

Re: The Starting Pitching Trade Candidates

We want to win the World Series again, right? Not sure how trading Happ during the year would move us toward that goal. Hes kind of important to our lineup. In the playoffs, IMO, having Britton in the bullpen helps us more than Happ in the lineup who's abs would be taken by Jay or Almora most likel...

Re: Politics & Current Events

These guys don't actually want to do the work for any real change and they know the won't survive the fallout/optics of pulling insurance from 10s of millions. They will make as few changes as possible, likely benefitting the insurance companies, but it will be largely the same thing. It will be cha...

Re: The Starting Pitching Trade Candidates

Yeah Happ is off limits in a Verlander deal for me. He'd only be available in a Gray or Britton+Gausman or Bundy deal for me of the names we've heard are available.

how annoyed would we be if he were still on milwaukee

I mean Sogard, who kinda took his spot, is slashing .324/.429/.427 in 170 PAs. They're both playing at a 3.5-4 win pace.

Re: The Starting Pitching Trade Candidates

MLBN just did a look in on Verlander's start talking about scouts watching and they showed a guy with a radar gun that had a jacket/pullover on that had the old Cubs logo with the bear standing with the bat. I'm sure we have scouts everywhere but clearly there's one at Verlander's start tonight.

Re: #NotAllPitchers

Dusty said something along the lines of "we think he's fine." So I'm sure he'll have Strasburg pitch 100+ pitches and/or leave him in for like a 30-40 pitch inning in his next start.

Re: #NotAllPitchers

He played at Wisconsin, no? Yeah, was on the Final 4 teams. Was the Rockets first round pick in 14 or 15 and he was just traded to the Clippers in the Chris Paul trade. He should get some good minutes this year and be one of the first guys off the bench for the Clippers and get some starts here and...

Re: #NotAllPitchers

I know I've said it before but with the injury he has/had he needs to have a surgery to really fix it. He can pitch through it and manage it but the fix requires a surgery. My friend in the NBA had the same injury 2 years ago and dealt/deals with the same doctors Kershaw has and they said there's n...

Re: The Starting Pitching Trade Candidates

According to a source, a key Rangers evaluator was watching the Triple-A affiliates of the Chicago Cubs, who have made at least a passing call on Darvish but may have more interest in Jonathan Lucroy, and the Los Angeles Dodgers, who could be a very interesting potential destination if the Rangers ...

Re: The Starting Pitching Trade Candidates

According to Ralph, fwiw, we are on Darvish's no-trade list. https://twitter.com/Jim_BowdenSXM/status/888413523247759361 NT lists are not just teams a player does not want to play for. If you have the option it's a good idea to put teams on the NT list whom you think would actually want to trade fo...
