Re: Politics & Current Events

I posted a verbatim transcript of the Trump, Acess Hollywood tape on Facebook. Some Trump voter who I went to school with said it was fake news and wanted to know the source. They. Are. horsefeathering. Idiots.

Re: Politics & Current Events

I guess not. I assumed that you and everyone else here already knew that Trump was a callous idiot. It seemed pointless to waste any time elaborating on that well documented fact so I was skipping ahead to the idea that any President calling to give condolences to people that he doesn't know seems ...

Re: Politics & Current Events

Trump is such a disaster of a human being. I'm sure this is exactly what Kelly wants to talk about. Besides that fact that what Obama did or didn't do is irrelevant. I hate him so much.

How is it that only 55% of the voters disapprove of his Presidency? It should be much higher.

Re: Jim Hendry rides again

He was a decent farm director. If they use him in that role, good for them. I don't want Stanton. He gets injured too often and his swing and miss profile is scary. I hope Poor TR(TM) is pinching pennies and scraping dollars together for Harper next year. Let the Yankees or Boston or St Louis have S...

Trumpism is not a cult. Repeat, Trumpism is not a cult. https://twitter.com/dylanlscott/status/918178859706716160 Yeah, I saw that graph on twitter yesterday. All those people hated those black players well before Trump made a big deal out of nealing. Now those people are just being honest. Also, m...

Re: Harvey Weinstein and the sweet sweet can

I think the main issue is trying to make it seem like their behavior is that far out of the ordinary. Exactly; this kind of horsefeathers isn't the exception when it comes to people with power. Which is why I'm all for trying to go after the abusers themselves, including the shaming option. But cas...

Re: Harvey Weinstein and the sweet sweet can

This isn’t just a Hollywood/entertainment problem. It’s a societal problem. Higher education is full of this behavior, for example. Guys Like Letterman, Weinstein, Trump, and Cosby are just extreme examples. I think the main issue is trying to make it seem like their behavior is that far out of the ...

Some documentary film maker who is making a Roger Alies documentary says Weinstein is the tip of the iceberg and Hollywood’s casting couch is about to get exposed with big names. We will see.

^^yep, all that. I used to call people like boris "aggressively ignorant" but realized that was off the mark for such commentators. It's beyond that, and I think mojo captures the essence of it. I just made the conscious decision to not engage such people online. I post what I post, and l...

I saw this from 538 the other day, and as someone who isn't terribly educated on the topic, I was wondering what you guys' take on this would be https://twitter.com/LeahLibresco/status/915294851255726083 The article is more about gun violence in general than mass shootings. The idea that a well-pra...

Re: Active Shooter(s) at the Las Vegas Strip

It's been pointed out, probably correctly, this is just a bone-throw of a PR move by the NRA regarding something that's largely irrelevant to gun sales and ownership. Basically if you crack down on bump stocks, it would not significantly impact the sale of any type of gun. Exactly. The weapon is th...

This administration is like some sort of cartoonish nightmare. Everything they do is awful. Somehow they can just decide to let companies stop covering birth control pills. It's like they are all drunk and trying to do everything they possibly can to wreck society. I really hope all those non-politi...

78% of Americans don't own a gun, but you somehow require 6 different types of guns for 6 different jobs? I understand that you've been very rational about this (and in general on the board), so I apologize if it sounds like I'm attacking you personally. But I think it's people with your mindset th...

Trump once called the media with a fake name and said he was Donald Trump's publicist to the person, and talked about how much women loved Donald Trump. The guy is certifiable.

Re: Guess what an idiot with a gun did this time

Stop with this both sides [expletive] ignorance. There is one side not participating in any discussion and it's the gun nut morons. Guns aren't tools. They are toys and murder weapons. They are nothing like a screwdriver or wrench and it absolutely matters how many one person owns. Anybody who owns...

Re: Guess what an idiot with a gun did this time

This is the problem here, each side has no clue and doesn’t want one. Guns are tools and used for different jobs, just like screw drivers or wrenches. It doesn’t matter how many guns one person owns. It matters what type of gun the person is using. No one in America can legally hunt with an assault...

Re: Guess what an idiot with a gun did this time

https://twitter.com/kylegriffin1/status/915674191290134528 That statistics isn’t important at all and really means nothing related to gun control. Most of the people who own guns use them for hunting and do not live in cities, most people don’t hunt and live in metropolitan areas. I own 2 shotguns,...
