Re: Politics & Current Events

But he respects the troops and honors the flag. He just doesn't respect the widows and mothers and father of the troops. They can go horsefeathers themselves.

Re: Politics & Current Events

The sheer volume of the nonsense Trump says and thinks is staggering. All the stuff that comes every week always finds a way to shock me. Just when I think there won't be another revelation, there is one. This morning I read that one of his ghostwriters for one of his terrible books was on his priva...

https://twitter.com/KFILE/status/921542946457038848 you'd think this would matter to the "support our troops" crowd, but undoubtedly it will not. They can explain way any Information they don’t like as fake news. A few pages back I posted about one of those types who told me the Access Ho...

Another child (11-year-old) in Montgomery committed suicide with a family gun that was not secured. That's two kids in the last three months in the county I live in.

I do some off sight contractual work for a large health insurance company and I have to go through their periodic corporate training. The NBA requires its players to stand for the anthem. I don't see any constitutional lawyers taking them to court Apparently, the NFL should not ask Derwood his opinion. I'm not saying any league should force their players to do this; that's a dumb thing to do. But to say that the NFL can't do it c...

Today the NFL talked it over with their lawyers, and yes it is quite against the law to compel their workers to stand for the national anthem. They could have asked any 17-year old who just finished US History and he would have told them the same. Trump, not knowing anything about history or the la...

In response to all, I think you all are conflating me saying he is an idiot who flubbed his words with “excusing Trump's abhorrent treatment of human beings as just trump being trump”. Nobody’s excusing anything. I’m just saying that on the scale of awful things he does, this registers to me as stu...

I guess not. I assumed that you and everyone else here already knew that Trump was a callous idiot. It seemed pointless to waste any time elaborating on that well documented fact so I was skipping ahead to the idea that any President calling to give condolences to people that he doesn't know seems ...

Trump is such a disaster of a human being. I'm sure this is exactly what Kelly wants to talk about. Besides that fact that what Obama did or didn't do is irrelevant. I hate him so much.

How is it that only 55% of the voters disapprove of his Presidency? It should be much higher.

He was a decent farm director. If they use him in that role, good for them. I don't want Stanton. He gets injured too often and his swing and miss profile is scary. I hope Poor TR(TM) is pinching pennies and scraping dollars together for Harper next year. Let the Yankees or Boston or St Louis have S...

I think the main issue is trying to make it seem like their behavior is that far out of the ordinary. Exactly; this kind of horsefeathers isn't the exception when it comes to people with power. Which is why I'm all for trying to go after the abusers themselves, including the shaming option. But cas...

This isn’t just a Hollywood/entertainment problem. It’s a societal problem. Higher education is full of this behavior, for example. Guys Like Letterman, Weinstein, Trump, and Cosby are just extreme examples. I think the main issue is trying to make it seem like their behavior is that far out of the ...
