Re: Politics & Current Events

are they really going to horsefeathering do this? are they just counting on their voters being so horsefeathering dumb that they don't realize they, like, don't have insurance anymore? or that it costs a bunch more? all in the name of getting a "win" by dumping obamacare? insane. oh, they...

Re: Politics & Current Events

I've seen this argument made by dummies on Facebook. They think that since the amount of money isn't technically going down, then it's not a cut. They seem baffled by the concept of inflation It's not just that, there are thresholds for qualifying for care that are being raised, deductibles increas...

Re: Dogs Are Awesome, Yay Dogs!

Huh...never heard of that place, just always curious where people get their dogs from...breeders, rescue, animal shelters, etc... I fully support pet rescue and am thrilled when other people go that route, but we had a really bad experience with a rescue dog and have been gun shy since then. Some p...

Re: Politics & Current Events

Do we know when the CBO score is coming out? It can't be good, given this bill is almost exactly the same as the House trash passed earlier. http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/cbo-score-expected-next-week-on-senate-healthcare-bill/article/2626803 The score will be bad but not as bad as the house bil...

There are a couple of long form stories out now about Trump's shady business on the bloomberg website. I think he's in bigger trouble than he thought. https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2017-06-21/trump-russia-and-those-shadowy-sater-deals-at-bayrock https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2017...

Re: The Starting Pitching Trade Candidates

That's great. I dont have super high hopes for Eloy, yet he's still a top 10ish minor league player and the Cubs are not trading that capital for a Bad SP or an injured one that has also been bad . Or at least they shouldn't. I don't think anyone here would suggest such a thing. Except you just did.

GOP has really been a more or less single issue party for at least 40 years. Lower taxes. Yea, there's other issues, pro-life being the big social issue that keeps the religious right on board, but basically people know a vote for the GOP is a vote for lower taxes. It's an easypopulist promise to c...

Republican Light when out in 2000. People voted for Obama because they thought he was something he wasn't.
