Re: NFL Week 14

Rivera obviously was going to be ousted after the season, but it's a bit of a bummer to ax him during the year. Maybe they did him a favor by letting him go during the college hiring window They did it so they can start the search now rather than the Monday after Week 17 when 8 teams fire their coa...

Our Addison Russell nightmare is over, and the Cubs are going to try and sneak Danny Hultzen down to Iowa. Everything else is as expected.

I hope that year of defending the indefensible was worth it.

Re: 19'-20' College Football off-season.

Strong is out at USF, Addazio is out at BC, and whoever was coaching at Texas St is gone too. Possibility Helton is out at USC, I hope it's not Urban. You sure about that? Haven't seen anything about Jake Spavital being fired. Would be odd since this was his first season there. I read the ticker wr...

Re: 19'-20' College Football off-season.

Can take Rutgers off that list. They have re-hired Greg Schiano. IU's Tom Allen (along with Stoops from UK) have been the hot rumored coaches for a couple of those vacant spots. Rumors are in the very early stages, but it's worth nothing that Allen is the lowest paid Power 5 coach in the country. H...

Looks like Mizzou is going with the ever popular Parker search firm to conduct the coaching search.

Studies have shown they're not more effective than when the search is conducted in-house.

I feel bad for that kid on Ole Miss. It deserved the penalty but it's not his fault they lost. He shouldn't be getting trashed the way he is.

The thing that makes it scary about 2020 is there is no great or maybe even good candidate from the left. Obama might unfort. be right about Warren and Sanders being too far to the left at this point. I was hoping it would be time for a true progressive but it's looking like its not. Biden is like t...

Meanwhile the support numbers for impeachment keep dropping, and it's increasingly unpopular in a number of battleground states. I was hoping with Davis being correctly cut, they would have nabbed Elijah Holyfield RB (yep that Holyfield) from the Panthers' PS to replace him.

I think Nixon would've been tried on criminal charges if he wasn't pardoned by Gerald Ford. I could be wrong, but public sentiment definitely wanted Nixon put on trial way back then... Plus look at it this way: would you really want to set the precedent for the Republicans to be able to do such a t...

Re: Politics & Current Events

This whole process is at least as much about putting Republicans on the record whether they approve of this or not as it is about Trump himself. If this was true, it would be an epic failure. I heard most of this on the radio, and it's amazing (but not really) how every horsefeathering Republican dude sounds EXACTLY the same.
