Re: 2017-18 Bulls Thread - Fly the Tank W

As far as pick 22....

I like Simons, Musa, Brown, or Robinson.

Would be disappointed if it's Hutchison.

Re: 2017-18 Bulls Thread - Fly the Tank W

I'm probably higher on Young than most. From what I seen of him, he reminds me of Mahmoud Abdul Rauf/Chris Jackson. That style of play translates better now than it did 25 years ago. If the main names are gone, I would not be upset. I like him more than Bamba, tbh.

Re: Minor League Discussion & Boxes, 5-19-18

It's hard for me to get excited about any good pitching performances in our system thinking that there likely isn't anything better than a BOR starter among the lot of them. I wish I could think differently about the talent (or lack thereof), but I just can't. I hope to be proven wrong. They'll nee...

Re: Minor League Discussion & Boxes, 5-18-18

Disappointed Swarmer didn't pitch tonight, was hoping he'd be in AA by June.

I know the Cubs scouting and development of pitchers has been much maligned but Swarmer has the chance to be a 4/5 starter, which is quite improved from his draft profile.

Re: 2018 Draft Thread

From last week: 1. Detroit Tigers | Casey Mize, RHP, Auburn Mize has clearly separated himself from the rest of the field for the first overall pick and any other option here would be both surprising and likely carrying some sort of unanticipated back story. Lock this one in. 2. San Francisco Giants...

That sounds horrifying. Although, the Polish platter sounds great.

Re: 2018 Draft Thread

https://twitter.com/kileymcd/status/996460782610276353 Virginia's pitching staff has been solid in 2018, if unspectacular, and junior lefthander Daniel Lynch represents their likely top draft prospect for the 2018 class. He was just okay against Louisville on Saturday afternoon, battling through se...

The more I think about it, the more I think I just don't usually enjoy ravioli, and I think it's because I'm expecting cheese in there. I'd rather go with its cousin the pirogi. Theres this place in the South loop that is kind of a polish/Italian mashup menu and they have a dish called ravirogi. Ba...

Re: 2017-18 Bulls Thread - Fly the Tank W

Any chance the Bulls package both picks and get into the top 4? Would that even matter? I really like the idea of Porter. Obviously, his back has to check out. Usually 19 year olds with back problems don't end well, but I like his fit for the Bulls moreso than any other player that's going to go ou...

Re: 2017-18 Bulls Thread - Fly the Tank W

Porter or bust, I'd hate to see a low ceiling/high floor pick here at 7. I like Porter, but we need to be careful about drafting players with back issues. I'm sure the Bulls will do a full physical and MRI on him. I want to avoid drafting a player who is chronically injured. Porter has a high ceili...

To your point about muddying the waters, you almost have to wonder how much the Democratic debates, in their current form, really help the party. It seems like everyone tries to create some unique viewpoint in the hopes of generating some edge over the other candidates, and all it eventually does i...

Re: Politics & Current Events

i've heard Buttigieg on the POTUS SiriusXM station once or twice, and I really love what he has to say. but, mayor of the 300th largest city in the country to VP/POTUS seems like too big of a leap, no? Too big of a leap? I'm biased but I don't think so. We had a junior senator with less than 4 year...

As far as Merkley, solid progressive with Senator experience, 1st to endorse Sanders, younger than most of the front runners.

Cons-pretty vanilla with little charisma, not known, still 60+ yo., from small solid blue state.
