Re: This Thread is About Comics

Y The Last Man was really good. A tad more off the beaten path, Proof is an all time favorite of mine that never got the love it deserved. Manifest Destiny I also really enjoyed. Manhattan Projects is a hoot especially if you like gonzo sci-fi. For current series (although I think Manifest Destiny i...

Yeah I was pretty disappointed after initially hearing good things. I did enjoy Mera running across the rooftops in her high heels though.

I think that's a pretty good list. I'd probably drop Far From Home down to D and Captain Marvel down to C and bump up FA to B. I'm pretty stoked for Black Widow hopefully the trailers aren't misleading.

How do know this wasn't the case. This was a 2 second act that could have been done regardless of the environment and easily done without anyone knowing. As soon as Springer realizes that the move away from Rogers Center and Toronto is not permanent he'll demand to be traded.

My initial reactions of WW84 was that it wasn't THAT bad. Then the next day, thought about it some more, it's pretty bad. I'm not versed enough in the DCU because I've not enjoyed many of these movies, but was there anything in the Lord plotline that was supposed to tie into other movies? He just c...

So he got more than he’d have been paid if he wasn’t non-tendered. Good job reading the market, Jed. They just didn't want to pay him. Wouldn't just about every player his age (who'd essentially been an everyday player) get more on the open market? I hadn't given it much thought but I'm a little su...

Is Disney overdoing it with Star Wars tv series? I’ve seen reporting of 3 or 4 new shows in the pipeline right now. Favreau/Filoni can’t possibly be attached to all of them. Shows: Kenobi, Mandalorian prequel, Ahsoka show, possible New Republic show Isn't there a Boba Fat..err...Fett show as well.

This is an underrated movie and I believe it was the first movie I ever saw on a big screen at a local drive-in (decades are the initial release). It's a Disney movie but there are a couple of pretty scary scenes in it.

Former Cub Jay Johnstone passed away over the weekend from complications due to COVID. He was on the Cubs when I first began watching baseball in '82. The OF was a noted prankster, wrote a few books about his playing days and appeared in The Naked Gun with Leslie Nielsen. He and Jerry Reuss dressed ...
