Re: General Cubs Chit-Chat

i'll take any sort of cubs related content in mid january https://twitter.com/Cubs/status/955455020060745731 seems like BSOL is going to be coming in hard this year kinda funny to me that Russell probably has a ton of cubs dry fit shirts, and he chooses to use a smokies cutoff t shirt to go for a run

This is not the answer I was expecting. Barrel-aging makes all those caramel/toffee/chocolate notes come out more in your favorite stouts; I don't understand how that would be a detriment at all. Really the only style that isn't made better by barrel-aging is high-IBU IPAs. I'm also including wine ...

Besides the Cubs, when was the last time a team has made the LCS 3 years in a row? Cardinals 2011-2014 so 4 years. I think the Braves made it several times in a row in the 90's? Not including the 94 strike year. 1991 1992 1993 1995 1996 1997 1998 1999 Edited, in Bull's link Not to say that their ru...

Re: Nats to hire Dave Martinez

People with the drive to do what Theo has done generally don't get into a "there's nothing more for me to accomplish why don't I just keep doing what I'm doing" state of mind. He also explicitly stated in his first press conference that after 10 years a change is good, hence the reason th...

I don't get the "Theo will leave in a few years" stuff. Why would he do that? He left Boston to prove that what he accomplished in Boston wasn't a fluke or because of winning with the guys that were already there or whatever. He won a world series with the horsefeathering Chicago Cubs. Wh...

it's been kind of an afterthought but the cubs have never been to the playoffs 3 straight seasons (unless you count when it was just the world series to be "playoffs," in which case, i think you go back to those mid aughts teams) Before last season, anytime I wanted to feel pity about the...
