Re: The Ricketts family sucks in all kinds of ways

Im guessing the city/county officials lean more toward corrupt than they do incompetent. They were getting something from Ricketts in return for looking the other way. Journalism unearthed this one, id bet.

Surely this cannot be true?!?!

This is sarcasm, right? Im no fan of Tarantino the person but all he replied with was "well I just reject your hypothesis." I think the reporter couldve made her point and gotten a real answer if she worded the question better but unless there is another video I didnt see, 'vicious lambast...

It was a frustrating season but I remember liking the ending to Rubicon

For my money nothing comes close to The Shield. Hard to top that series finale.

Re: General Cubs Chit-Chat

Not every baseball player's divorce is like John Lackey's, where he doesnt care if his ex dies or not. I trust Ben Zobrist that he knows whether he would be useful to the Cubs right now. Im guessing they'd all rather have him away getting better mentally than him taking at bats with his mind focused...

Re: Addison Russell

Yeah, pretty sure Theo talks about it in the book The Cubs Way and implies they wouldnt ever get moved without ever coming out and saying the word "untouchable". He talks about how his plan to win for a number of years was he needed 4 position players as a foundation that he would build/dr...

Re: Addison Russell

Either he had trade value after he blew out his knee or he didnt - I'm not advocating for having traded him back then. Just saying he couldve been moved then for ML pieces if Theo really wanted to when it was implied that he couldnt.

Im divorced. I didnt want to be. Im good now but man, theres nothing worse than believing you found the person you will spend the rest of your life with, having kids with that person, and then finding out later that their feelings have changed and theres nothing you can do to change their mind. Re: Addison Russell

It’s been talked about before, but when really would’ve been the right time to trade Schwarber and/or Russell?? It made no sense to trade Schwarbs after 2015, they thought he could still catch at least ~40 games a year and then he blew his knee out in 2016. He never really had value after that. And...

Re: Game of Thrones

I definitely think Sansa is up to something. Seemed like they make a point to show that she was the person instructing those hoors to invite Tormund, Hound and Pod for sexy time. Just kinda showed to me that she is playing a game behind the scenes that people aren't suspecting.

Somehow Dany "forgot" all about Euron and the Iron Fleet as she sailed down there... maybe she was undercaffeinated since there werent any Starbucks in Southern Westeros. These TV writers are trash, just get this slop over with so I can move on. https://img.thedailybeast.com/image/upload/v...

Re: Game of Thrones

Late to the party but I hated it. Bummer. I really liked it. I've been very happy with this season. If you have been generally critical of the show post books, fine, I get it. But I'm not sure how somebody who bothers watching this show can be disappointed with what they've given us. Arya has been ...
