Re: Christian Yelich

Yelich is great but if we really do plan on getting Bryce I dont see it fitting in Theo's plans right now. I think this year we roll with Schwarber LF, Almora CF, Heyward RF with Zobrist platooning on the corners. Happ gets moved for pitching or backs up Almora in center. Ideally they all play well ...

Re: Winter Meetings 2017 thread

Just like John Oliver said to Dustin Hoffman (paraphrased), "why would these women lie?" He was called out online by the best friend of his wife, I tend to believe she was coming from an honest place. Just because the victim probably realized her child would have less money if she pursued ...

Sell him while value is still somewhat high, cause im not so sure he's ever going to come close to the barry larkin clone we were told he's not some case of unrealized potential, a down injury-plagued 2017 aside (you think this is the time to sell hig...

Re: Corporate grab ass shenanigans, and so much worse

I guess the point I was trying to make is... do you really expect 100% of liberals to be level headed, awesome all around people? Of course you don't. Its Tom Arnold. If this were thoughts shared by Jon Stewart or David Letterman or a celebrity people actually care about, then Id share your concern.

Re: The Cubs are a Finalist for Shohei Ohtani

Driving my kid to school this morning and caught a long red light, so I pulled up twitter for the first time of the day. Saw a Buster Olney tweet and read "something something something Wil Myers will move from OF to..." and my brain told me that this was how I was finding out that he pick...

Re: The Cubs are a Finalist for Shohei Ohtani

If respect is as big of a deal to Ohtani as has been alleged then I dont understand why he would lead teams on that he had no interest in signing with (i.e. the ones with less money). Same thing goes for these Mariners and Angels deals. If there were really only 2 teams he was deciding between right...

Re: The Cubs are a Finalist for Shohei Ohtani

Not only are our front office executives better than all the other finalists, our manager is, too. Even having played in 3 straight NLCS, we can still offer him some serious stability going forward.. how many other teams can tell him who his entire infield will be for the next 3-4-5 years? I think w...

But for real, I do kinda think everyone is jumping the gun on this door lock thing. If he was actually using it to lock (kidnap) women in there and they only find out about it when they are trying to escape, then I am sure we will hear about it soon. Until then, im gonna just assume its a feature su...

Re: Movie Thread 2: The Sequel

Saw The Disaster Artist tonight. If you're interested in it, you absolutely must go ASAP so you get the largest audience possible, otherwise, it won't be nearly as enjoyable. It was very good, but having the sold-out crowd laughing at so much of the movie really sells the experience 10 times over. ...

Re: Politics & Current Events

I want to know why only 56% of adults disapprove of the President? It should be much higher. I don't understand. Because blind loyalty to either party is dangerous. Wait, what? Do you honestly think if it read: "Donald Trump (D)" the polls wouldn't be any different, that democrats would o...
