Re: The Bryce is Right, Bitch

I've been quietly confident that Bryce is gonna be a Cub come the 2019 season the whole time.

Fretting about it won't change anything, and if he goes to some other team, oh well I still get to watch Javy and Bryant duel for NL MVP this year.

Re: General Chit-Chat thread

This is the only message board I go to, I pretty much lurk daily and post weeklyish? I use reddit daily but again almost exclusively as a lurker, and usually just scrolling through the front page. And I use twitter daily, mostly follow sports and video game stuff with a bit of politics sprinkled in....

Re: Video Game Thread

Apex check-in. Game is still fantastic imo. The Kraber is ridiculous, one shot head shot no matter their armor or helmet.

25 million players in a week. That's insanity.

Re: Video Game Thread

Yeah I've played like 20 more matches. This game kicks ass. The fights are so hectic and wild because everyone can move so quickly but if you just settle down you can do work. The smart looting is so so nice after having played pubg for a long while. The damage markers are super satisfying when you ...

Re: Video Game Thread

Been playing apex legends on PC. This game runs super smooth and is quite pretty to look at. Free to play FPS battle royale with futuristic tech and ults a la overwatch. I've never played titanfall 1/2 but apparantly it's from the creators of those? I've played about 10 matches and the game just see...

I don't hate religion as a concept (though I don't believe a structured religion is necessary to be spiritually healthy) but horsefeathers do I hate how much of a role it plays in politics.

Re: Video Game Thread

Because how else will you know about the amazing dlc you can buy to fix every unfinished game they release or about the wonderful microtransactions at every turn?

Isn't your wallet feeling kinda heavy? The games only cost $60 a pop, that's a steal for you. They have to get theirs somewhere ya know.

Sorry I'm basing my opinions off of my observations with the people I've met and discussed things with. Not claiming to be right about any or all of what I say it's just what I see and how I see it. Also, I wasn't around before the 90's so I wouldn't know, but the line about how stupid the average p...

Re: Politics & Current Events

I do think if it's a woman running who isn't Hillary you'd see better results with getting the women's vote. I know it's not a shoo-in just for nominating any woman, but I think picking the right one (imo Kamala) would get you there. In 2016 you had horsefeathers ass turdburglar #1 Trump vs. a very ...

How about those who said "horsefeathers it both of these candidates suck" and either didn't vote or voted independent (basically the same as not voting)? I mean have the hairtrigger on bitterness about the 2016 election forever, I'm still not sure how I'm gonna explain it to my kids down t...

Re: Politics & Current Events

Not sure if you're putting any meaning behind your narrator comment there sofa. I don't think it's very ingenuous to look at who Hillary is, the already well established (as of 2015-2016) dislike of her by many groups in the country, and how she went about campaigning and to then use that as grounds...

I'm gonna be at this one. In Minnesota for the holidays. Pretty excited to see the Vikings' new stadium, I think it looks cool as hell but I've only ever seen the outside. This will be my second ever Bears game. Also my second ever NFL game. The first was that one Monday night game a few years back,...

Personally, I'd rather see a strong farm system and a sub $100 million payroll ML squad than a World Series caliber team that has the gall to spend $250 million and acquire an overrated and cocky has been like Bryce Harper. /s

I tend to agree.. the current state of affairs in this country are a bonfire born of stupidity, hatred, and bigotry. For most of my young life it seemed to me as if things were moving in a more positive direction. But the ascension of Trump and the preceding/concurrent divergance from any sort of co...

Re: 2019 Cubs schedule

As far as being cocky is concerned, to be perfectly honest, I bet the Cubs go horsefeathering off next season. This year the wheels fell off, so javy just picked the cart up and carried it himself and they won 95 games. However for the first time in four seasons they're off golfing before the end of...
