Re: Addison Russell

I did feed the troll earlier, I'll admit it. But after the bit about us animals only looking out for PTR... Haha I don't think I'm gonna read the Addison Russell thread for a while. Possibly ever. What would I ever wanna see about him? Maybe if there is ever a video of him going to pick up his paych...

Re: Addison Russell

I'm pretty sure that 95% or more of the posters here wanted him to not be with the Cubs this season.

I'm triggered by him being in the organization at all. Him doing poorly makes it less likely he will remain in the organization. I'll keep rooting against him and not feel bad about it.

Re: Baez impresses Baez

While a lot of the deflection goals in hockey are luck, there are also times where the [offensive zone] defensemen along the blue line will rifle shots that aren't even at the goal and their forwards angle their sticks to deflect the puck in a such a way so as to beat the goalie. Those goals impress...

Re: Baez impresses Baez

Hah in high school I was that 250lb guard pulling on the traps and messing up the DT who thought he had a clear path to the ball carrier. I loved playing football and love watching it too. I only played football so I lifted all year long to go with it. By junior year I was 5'8", 250, benching ...

Re: Video Game Thread

Witcher 2 is very good.

Witcher 3 is one of the best games I've ever played.

Elder scrolls oblivion is also one of the best games I've ever played.

Skyrim is very good.

Re: Video Game Thread

You are much better than me and my buddy. We push high silver/low gold in 2's and in 3's. We prefer 2's because 3's just feels crowded. We're not great mechanically, but I think we do a pretty good job of spacing. I'm trying to do more practice because I feel like it's hard to progress just playing...

Re: Video Game Thread

I play rocket league pretty much every night before bed as a kind of wind down game where you can still try hard and do cool horsefeathers. 5 minute games are nice as far as minimal time commitment. I'm diamond 3 in doubles and standard. The skill ceiling is nigh unlimited. My only gripe is when I g...

Re: Game of Thrones

Dany's descent into the mad queen is such an important transition that it could have taken 2 seasons for it to be fully fleshed out. Instead we see her, in the span of 3 episodes: -find out jon is aegon -watch jorah die -watch the men of Westeros love jon -lose a dragon -lose missandei -get spurned ...

Re: General Baseball Chit-Chat Thread

He sucks, why would we want him? I dunno, didn't really think it through beyond the scope of "could this guy become a Cub?" He doesn't look like he sucks, although I've never really been a fan of his red-assery. Really just posted because I think that's an interesting move by him to take ...

Re: The Bryce is Right, Bitch

I've been quietly confident that Bryce is gonna be a Cub come the 2019 season the whole time.

Fretting about it won't change anything, and if he goes to some other team, oh well I still get to watch Javy and Bryant duel for NL MVP this year.

This is the only message board I go to, I pretty much lurk daily and post weeklyish? I use reddit daily but again almost exclusively as a lurker, and usually just scrolling through the front page. And I use twitter daily, mostly follow sports and video game stuff with a bit of politics sprinkled in....

Apex check-in. Game is still fantastic imo. The Kraber is ridiculous, one shot head shot no matter their armor or helmet.

25 million players in a week. That's insanity.

Re: Video Game Thread

Yeah I've played like 20 more matches. This game kicks ass. The fights are so hectic and wild because everyone can move so quickly but if you just settle down you can do work. The smart looting is so so nice after having played pubg for a long while. The damage markers are super satisfying when you ...

Been playing apex legends on PC. This game runs super smooth and is quite pretty to look at. Free to play FPS battle royale with futuristic tech and ults a la overwatch. I've never played titanfall 1/2 but apparantly it's from the creators of those? I've played about 10 matches and the game just see...

I don't hate religion as a concept (though I don't believe a structured religion is necessary to be spiritually healthy) but horsefeathers do I hate how much of a role it plays in politics.

Re: Video Game Thread

Because how else will you know about the amazing dlc you can buy to fix every unfinished game they release or about the wonderful microtransactions at every turn?

Isn't your wallet feeling kinda heavy? The games only cost $60 a pop, that's a steal for you. They have to get theirs somewhere ya know.

Sorry I'm basing my opinions off of my observations with the people I've met and discussed things with. Not claiming to be right about any or all of what I say it's just what I see and how I see it. Also, I wasn't around before the 90's so I wouldn't know, but the line about how stupid the average p...

I do think if it's a woman running who isn't Hillary you'd see better results with getting the women's vote. I know it's not a shoo-in just for nominating any woman, but I think picking the right one (imo Kamala) would get you there. In 2016 you had horsefeathers ass turdburglar #1 Trump vs. a very ...

How about those who said "horsefeathers it both of these candidates suck" and either didn't vote or voted independent (basically the same as not voting)? I mean have the hairtrigger on bitterness about the 2016 election forever, I'm still not sure how I'm gonna explain it to my kids down t...
