Re: NSB NFL Mock Draft 2017

I would have taken Fournette but overall not really into first round RBs. Ross scored a ton of TDs in college himself and aced the pre-draft stuff, so I went with him.

A WR? I'm not much of a colts fan but really a WR? These guys need a pass rusher something wacky

They have TY Hilton and....?

Not a fan of the available pass rushers with the 15th pick. I did consider Elijah Qualls.

Going off of that, a Phillies beat writer breaks down their 25 man roster and concludes someone probably has to go: http://www.phillyvoice.com/phillies-opening-day-roster-projection-final-version/ Alec Asher still has 2 options remaining. Thoughts on him and potentially buying low on Appel? Good gu...

Re: Random Offseason Musings and Rumors

So what's kind of been in the back of my head with the whole Eddie Butler acquisition is that it signaled the Cubs were looking for their version of a DeGrom/Gsellman. These guys are pre-injured pitchers with otherwise good stuff, athleticism, fastball command, and lots of cheap years to be had. I a...

Re: Minor League Musings place holder.

The MLB squad had the day off, so recently acquired RHSP Eddie Butler was sent to Minor League Camp to get his scheduled game work versus the Diamondbacks Hi-A affiiate (Visalia) on Field #6. Butler allowed four runs (all earned) on six hits (three singles, two doubles, and a triple) in 4.2 IP (69 ...

Re: NSB NFL Mock Draft 2017

Watson is the most un-Jets QB prospect in the draft. They've never drafted a guy with his level of experience and success as a passer and QB in college. McCown is today's news.

OJ Howard to the Bills gets my vote.

Re: NSB NFL Mock Draft 2017

No love for John Ross here? 28 TDs in 40 games and a mere 228 touches in college! Watson is the first Clemson prospect I've ever liked. Even that is recent and almost all because his resume as a QB is just so loaded. I've otherwise always found their prospects to be soft including Williams. He does ...

Re: NSB NFL Mock Draft 2017

Not Watson fans? He checks so many QB prospect boxes, all of them I think. This draft should be simple for the Jets - Watson then TE, EDGE or OLB, and OT with the next three picks. I like Engram among the TEs, Garcia or that Davenport guy at OT unless Robinson was sitting there in he second, and Wil...

Pick Watson for Los Yets, please!

On real draft day the Jets have three player options at 6:

Garrett lol
Watson
Thomas

https://twitter.com/calikusiolek/status/843150222268149760 That gd 2015 IFA group is going to steal the show on the farm like Amaya steals that clip. In my mind's eye that group is deep and talented enough to produce two guys with the potential to break into the Cubs lineup or rotation by the end o...

Re: I like Gold Gloves and I cannot lie: the Jason Heyward thread

His new stance and swing kinda sorta remind me of Bernie Williams' with the Yankees. I guess that's a good thing? Bernie Williams was excellent. I'm not supremely confident Heyward has the bat speed.

So I appreciate the Bears ending the Jets/Glennon nonsense early. Jets' whole goal should be landing Watson, not handing out a big deal to a backup turned FA starter.

Great Wall was fun. Infinity ammo, a crazy inefficient army using tactics like bungeeing spear women and hot air balloons to fight aliens, Dafoe, whoever played General Lin, the creature designs, Strategist Wang was pretty badass...The Mummy trailer on the big screen swayed me and I might go see it...
